Joe knew . . . and ignored

Yes he did, but there are still scumbags defending him and even making a profit off Paterno's name.

Any action by Penn State to try and secure money from insurance for these settlements was as dumb a move as...well, since attorney Baldwin did nit (pun) know who or what clients she had.
Of course Joe knew sooner. That is why PSU settled. As I have written dozens of times, so long as no one was deposed in a civil suit, no secretary, no assistant, etc....PSU fans could claim plausible denial.
But the plausible denial opportunity went out the door and the door is shut tight now.
That leaves people only with excuses.
I could care less what the Funko Harris' of the world think, say or do.
Joe knew and looked the other way.
What a coward!

Just listened to Paterno's last interview before his death with someone at the Washington Post and in it he says he "never heard of a man raping another man". I mean, is this guy really trying to portray how naive he supposedly was? What a ridiculous statement. Guy had lived 80+ years but acts like he is a clueless yahoo.

Paterno knew for decades and trying to act super ignorant about different types of rape is just laughable.

Yep, the Duquesne Bottling Co. is laughing all the way to the bank.

Somewhere in Central PA there's a redneck getting sloshed on Jopa beer, all the while proclaiming that Joe didn't know.

Timing, as they say, is everything. B1G media days are soon, aren't they? Wonder if any of this might come up then and how the nits will choose to handle it?
I said from the day the sanctions were announced that the cult's best move was to shut the hell up and take their medicine. I told Ped State fans that are friends of mine that the BOT settled to avoid further investigation that would not turn out well for Dear Old State.

Turns out I was very right and the chickens may be coming home to roost after all.

They ask for the truth, they get the truth, and then say the truth isn't the truth. Ped State Cult Members at their finest.

Yep. Certainly understand that a reported $93 million paid to victims is a LOT of money. But by going after the insurance company to pay the claims, it has really opened up a huge can of worms. Some wounds that maybe had at least partially closed have now been ripped wide open again.

Sure seems as if the nits may have once again acted on some very bad advice in this instance.

Makes on wonder why they accepted the ruling from the NCAA as quick as they did. They wanted it over with before more come out. Today more come out and I'm sure truth me told this is the tip of ice burg.

Maybe Cook can pronounce that the healing will REALLY start now.

The smarter Nits knew that. The cult would have none of it.

If the "Conspiracy of Silence" trials for the 3 stooges ever happen - or the McQueary civil suit against PSU (that PSU again recently requested a stay of - see link) were to take place - then things could get even more hideously ugly for those involved or implicated. Time will tell.

If the trails do ever take place I expect at least one of the stooges to sing like a canary. I think it gets worse for the nits before it gets better.

A man testified in court in 2014 that Penn State football coach Joe Paterno ignored his complaints of a sexual assault committed by assistant coach Jerry Sandusky in 1976 when the man was a 14-year-old boy, according to new court documents unsealed Tuesday in a Philadelphia court.

The victim, who was identified in court records as John Doe 150, said that while he was attending a football camp at Penn State, Sandusky touched him as he showered. Sandusky’s finger penetrated the boy’s rectum, Doe testified in court in 2014, and the victim asked to speak with Paterno about it. Doe testified that he specifically told Paterno that Sandusky had sexually assaulted him, and Paterno ignored it.

“Is it accurate that Coach Paterno quickly said to you, ‘I don’t want to hear about any of that kind of stuff, I have a football season to worry about?'” the man’s lawyer asked him in 2014.

“Specifically. Yes … I was shocked, disappointed, offended. I was insulted… I said, is that all you’re going to do? You’re not going to do anything else?”

Paterno, the man testified, just walked away.
