Yeah for loser players it makes sense.
Agreed eff toast pezzyI dont like the Steelers that much. I will root for the Steelers offense and for Porter to give up TDs like its going out of style.

What’s PSU got to do with it. I don’t think he’ll be lining up in any PSU games going forward, he’s a Steeler now. That’s all that matters.
Didn't he have the same amount of concussions as Kenny. So maybe we should have taken Levis at 32Freiermuth can't block and seems to get concussed way too much. I would have taken Mayer at 32 for the same reasons.

I honestly respect the pettiness.Hometown kid, went to play for Rape U instead of Pitt. I wish him nothing but the worst in his pro career.
They are happy at what they got out of watt? 4m for nothing is not a good return.
Possibly the best post in this threadI love my Steelers and I love Pitt athletics.
I can't stand Penn State and would love to spit on the WVU logos.
I root for Pat Muth just as much as Kenny Pickett.
It's great to watch Pickett do well, just as much as Aaron Donald becoming a Super Bowl champ, and the greatest defensive lineman of his generation.
Tyler Boyd and James Connor are my guys. And Saquon Barkley and Allen Robinson are fun to watch.
This is the beauty of sports people. Enjoy while you can still enjoy it!!!
Every team in the league including the Steelers passed on him at least once. Why would they wonder that?
What is the goal of shadow press?PITT's corners are taught a "shadow press".
I care about the Steelers more than Pitt, so I hope he makes the Hall of Fame.My dislike for PSU is stronger than my like of the Steelers. I hope he is terrible.
Damn I just looked them up and both were pick #38.
I feel that way about all players, even Pitt players, if they end up on the Steelers, I want them to be Hall of Famers, any other team, I don't really care, that said I'm fine with Pitt players being NFL stars anywhere, as long as they SUCK vs. The Steelers. If he were drafted by any other team but the Steelers, I wouldn't care if he became a success or a failure....
But Porter IS a Steeler now and I'm rooting for him to be great....
Then you should spend your time on the Steelers message board.I care about the Steelers more than Pitt, so I hope he makes the Hall of Fame.
Senquex Golson! Good call. Forgot about him. You’re right. He was a 2nd rounder but much much later as I recall.Who was the second rd CB pick from Ole Miss that was always injured? Im not sure he ever played?
Drafted i think about 8 years ago?
A Steeler message board has to be the biggest collection of nimrods ever associated together on the internet. Drafting Peezy Jr was probably like nirvana for them. Then you should spend your time on the Steelers message board.
He was a f*cling bust, a favor to his brother. Don’t justify this nonsense.I can completely understand if you thought that they brought in a fullback/special teams guy to like rush for 400 yards a year and catch 30 ball that you would be completely disappointed with him.
Of course no sane person who knows how the Stillers play offense expected any such thing. He was brought in to be mostly a special teams guy, and he was good enough in that role that he was their special teams captain in his second year here.
I guess Derek Watt and Connor Heyward are on the steelers roster because of their individual talents then. It's absolutely ridiculous to think that professionals are taking guys because of the name.
You’re the worlds biggest triba
Get the wrinkles out of a shadow..........What is the goal of shadow press?
#1. By alignment, take away the quick game - hitch/slant/bubble. OC's don't typically call much of the route tree vs any type of press. The call low % routes like fade routes. What is the goal of shadow press?

Just stop it. Stick with heyward who had one nice catch
Correct takePorter was a steal at #32. It's just weird that some people are so consumed by PSU. It made sense in the 1970's and early 1980's but that ship has long sailed.
Watt was a free agent signing cheapconner heyward "not pleased." Derrick Watt "Gathering facts."

Yeah, on obvious tight formation running plays. Otherwise…..No. Your B10 bias in clouding your judgement.
But in any case, the one key with Washington is him being past the injury issues.
I care about the Steelers more than Pitt, so I hope he makes the Hall of Fame.
After Jones, who was just a such a great pick to match a desperate need, along with the move required to do it showing chutzpah… the Washington pick was the next most interesting due to his Monster potential. Like an Eric Green but even better, given that Green seemed to lack focus and discipline, but could destroy people when he put a mind to it.
If only that would mean that Washington will be the Steelers #1 starting TE over Muth. But of course it doesn’t. Your comment still is nothing more than your big time bias against the B10 getting the best of you.

Dierdorf on national tv (wondering aloud as a DB ) “what am I supposed to do with this?” as Green was trucking toward him. Fond memory.KAfter Jones, who was just a such a great pick to match a desperate need, along with the move required to do it showing chutzpah… the Washington pick was the next most interesting due to his Monster potential. Clearly there must be health concerns for Washington to last that long and hopefully they’re largely unfounded. But that’s the guy I’m most interested to see when camp comes around. IMO the willingness or capability of the coaches to utilize him properly is a bigger risk that his purported sore knee. I figure they’ll see him merely as a third OT on the field and what a waste it would be. Pickett also seems to have a bond with Muth and will likely lobby to keep him as the primary guy.
Lol, I guess where he was actually drafted means less than what his grade was.Lol. I guess the NFL grading system also has that "b1g" bias as well. Or maybe Washington is just viewed as a better prospect. 🤔
How about 1a and 1b for a season until muth moves on due to concussion or FA? They are going to be on the field together a lot this year.Lol, I guess where he was actually drafted means less than what his grade was.
But in any case, I’m just replying to your 1st uninformed comment saying he’ll be the Steelers #1 starting TE.
I’m a Steelers fan so sure hope he ends up being an out-of-the-park home run draft pick, just can’t agree with your current proclamation of him being the #1 TE.
I definitely agree they’ll be on the field a lot together. Who that impacts most is Gentry. How about 1a and 1b for a season until muth moves on due to concussion or FA? They are going to be on the field together a lot this year.
Muth is a good player but he drops balls and misses blocks. He’s not entrenched as a locked in #1.
SMFs original comment saying it made no sense. He’s since pretty much said he’s not a Steelers fan at all so now the comment isn’t so illogical.Agree rooting against a player that went to a school you don't like is a not so great look. If you're a Steelers fan, embrace Porter and hope he helps the team. Anything less speaks to you, not him.
