Joey Porter Jr. Sucks

So what is their agenda? I gave up my Post subscription when that dude from Toledo purchased the paper.
If I have to explain that to you, then you’re playing games. Let me introduce you to you to the cupcake named Freiermuth….he’ll take you through how you spend most of your first 3 years on the roster in the whirlpool, refuse to block and get a contract extension. He and Porter are what they are…completely overrated.

Ok I see now. The sports journalist are conspiring with Freiermuth and Porter because they went to PSU. So how does that benefit the journalist?

This sounds paranoid to any rational thinking person. Paranoid and humorous at the same time. So is it just the PSU players or is there another college team players they cover for?

Crazy people on the PSU board accuse me of being a pitter when I question their crazy conspiracies. Guess every fan base has paranoid fans

This has nothing to do with Porter being a "Nitter" or how he is covered by the Pittsburgh "Nitter Media".. That's just a Pitt fan pathology that I don't understand.

This has to do with him being too handsy for the way DB's are officiated against in today's NFL. He could honestly get a penalty on pretty much every play and I mean that literally.

I agree 100 percent.

For sure he had a bad game with respect to penalties. But saying he sucks is way way over the top. At a minimum he’s a solid NFL DB and without a doubt the best DB on the Steelers

Should have said corners.
Peazy grades out to an above average corner. He had some really good games this year and some rough ones. Yesterday was bad. If he doesn’t learn how to adjust his game, teams are gonna start going after him to draw penalties and it’s going to get worse.

But he has the best defensive back coach in the history of the nfl leading the franchise. Does it seem reasonable that Mike T encourages him to play that way? I mean, he came here with that rep and it’s only got worse. The only conclusion that can be drawn is that the coaches coach him to play that way…knowing that Refs are not going to call it more than they do.

We all have bias. Everyone here thinks Porter sucks because he went to Penn St, while the Pittsburgh media licks his ass because he went to Penn St.

Me I see him for what he is, an above average corner who has major flaws to his game that he and the Steelers better figure out. Because the other teams are gonna start figuring him out. The Bengals did.

Yeah I read don't post very much. Dudes like you get your panties all knotted up when a different opinion is voiced.
For a guy that doesn't post a lot, you've posted 8 times on this thread. What name do you usually use on this message board? Now don't lie. There's no need to lie. You'll be forgiven....

Be brave and stand behind your posts....

Dude I have one name. I use it on all the boards. I catch attitude on the PSU board because I don't believe the Big 10 and the refs are in a conspiracy to get PSU.

I like the Steelers I am not going to root against a Steeler because he played at Pitt OSU Michigan or any other team.

That's the thing, though... he doesn't. He has a grade that probably isn't much better than Artie Burns. If this was last season I would totally agree with you. But he has sucked this season.

Plenty of PFF apologists even acknowledge that other methodologies have him as above average.

Also…heard the guy who grades cornerbacks for PFF say that he wouldn’t rate much differently than Ike Taylor.

But somehow most here acknowledge that Ike could play. Because, you know, he didn’t go to PSU.

You’d have to be deaf, dumb, and blind to think Porter was close to being as good as Taylor. The only thing they have in common is dropping easy picks.

Ike was a tremendous cover corner for a long stretch of his career , hit the wall at the end of the.

JPJ has a long way to go to be as good as ike was

I loved Ike. Still do. I don’t remember him being a dependable shut down corner in year two. But maybe? I just know that in games like yesterday I saw Winston look in Peazy’s direction only one time that I remember and then he quickly had to go to his 2nd read.

Advantage of Minkah shadowing over the top
Don’t give jpj too much credit for Winston doing Winston things

The Pittsburgh Media should destroy him. Time to take off the Nitter glasses.

Avocado Toast Porter ends the regular season rated the 160th best CB in the NFL. That's a first round slot playing like an UDFA. Funny how some ( @Fk_Pitt 😆 ) thought this was a pedst thing, he actually just sucks really, really bad.

He needs to improve no doubt
Once Donte was hurt it showed how weak our secondary is .
He needs to use his physical gifts to cover instead of grabbing - then he’s a solid second CB.

Yep, he objectively sucks.

I honestly thought he showed a lot of promise in his rookie season, but now he's back to reminding me of why I didn't want to draft him... which has absolutely nothing to do with where he went to school. Just never seemed very "sticky" to me.

Good thing front office people in the league know when PFF is useful and when it’s not. He’d start for just about every team in the league.

That is all.

As what, a waterboy?
Peazy was fine in just about every game this year, outside of a couple. I could probably list 20 problems facing the Steelers before getting to JPJ. And anyone who gravitates to him and fixates on him shows that they suffer from a weird obsession.
