I coach hs football at Wash High and we played against him at LH at the beginning of the season. The kid has some serious hops and is a good athlete. He's tough and took a serious beating against us but kept getting up. I hope he avoids injury and sticks with basketball. I also have a kid on my team that plays AAU with him and Lebron's son.

Nice article in the PG this morning on Gallagher. Sounds like his preference (at least for now) is basketball.

Even though this quote says nothing about Pitt, it tells me we have a real good chance of keeping this kid home. Well, WVU is actually closer but you know what I mean.

"If you knew me better, you’d know I’m all about Laurel Highlands,” Gallagher said. “I don’t like these prep schools or basketball schools that kids go to. I think all kids should get to play for their school. I want to make a name for Laurel Highlands. We haven’t had a championship since 1968. I’m trying to bring the life back to Laurel Highlands, make people come to games, make a name for the team and myself in the state of Pennsylvania.”

Players with this type of mindset are more likely to stay local in my opinion.

Ed “Buzzy” Harrison. Played for us during the 70-71 season and scored around 250 points that year. I believe he ran into grade problems.
