Liverpool disaster vs Fulham

And the red card is upheld by VAR. That was the right call. It looked obvious live and then again on replay.

Liverpool has to play 70 minutes down a man and trailing 0-1.

Let’s go Fulham.

Hot dolly. I don't have Peacock so I'm just following on the scroll. 1-1 as it appears as usual, Fulham came out flat as a pancake from the half.

Regardless, wonderful ball by Antonee and great finish by Andreas. I think it was going in regardless of the deflection. And of course I'm 100% saying that's a red card against Robertson. I'm a homer, but I can see why a non homer would say yellow only because of the heavy touch from Harry and Van Dijk being at a good angle.

I'll take 1 point @ Anfield if they can hold on. This has been a sneaky and under the radar good season so far by Fulham, all with no legit striker banging goals away consistently.

On another note, how shocking has City been? Are they headed for a United type fall from grace?

Another assist for Jedi! He’s amazing!!! 2-1

I’m really upset about it because right now, if this Liverpool result holds and Chelsea win tomorrow, we’d potentially be top of the table if we had played City this month like Liverpool has and if Liverpool would have had them like we did back in September.

By the time we are back at the ethidad playing City, they could bale healthy and back in form again.

Another thing…with City’s 115 charges or whatever they are, punishment of relegation is only an unrealistic pipe dream of rival fans wanting to see justice. But what if this slump goes deeper into the season and then a 15 point deduction puts them in the relegation zone?

I don't know all the ins and outs of their charges, but I wonder if it could basically bankrupt them and they'll be in insolvency like Rangers years back up in Scotland. They were put down to the 4th division of Scottish football.

I don’t see that. City has the finest attorneys money can buy. They’ll be fine.

I don’t know the ins and outs either. I don’t know if it’s like 34 of the same misdemeanors turned into felonies by a partisan DA or not…but it seems to be that there has to be something there. If the Everton’s and Forest’s of the world get 6 point deductions for a handful of infractions, then what should 115 infractions yield????? And why were they allowed to win league titles and euro titles while all of this is going on??

That was short lived :( Even a 10 man Liverpool are extremely dangerous.
Liverpool appear to be head and shoulders above the rest of the league. They were down a man for 70 minutes and it appeared like Fulham was down a man.

Arne Slot said this week that they only team they played this year who was better than them on that day was Chelsea. And now that Chelsea is in top form right now it’s hard for him to say they aren’t the best team.

But I watch Chelsea every game, and while they look really good, they don’t appear to be Liverpool good. Just my opinion.

Arsenal dropped points again. Starting to look like it could be a two team race.

I was able to watch the stoppage time when the Leicester/Newcastle game ended. Liverpool were in control. I am very bummed they couldn't hold on and the defense on the goal from Jota was shockingly bad, but damn Liverpool is good. Easily top 5 in the world right now. How fortunate is Liverpool, they really don't skip a beat from Klopp to Slot.

I fully expect that once it becomes abundantly clear that City have no chance to win the league (sometime after the first of the year) that all parties will agree to a "plea deal" that deducts enough point to make sure City doesn't win the championship (which they aren't going to do anyway) but not enough points to push them into relegation territory.

When it all comes down to it, there are the ins and the outs in the EPL. Everton and Forest are the outs. City is the ins. I can't see them getting any type of punishment other than maybe a 3 point deduction with a promissory note from City that they will be good for a few years.

Just enough of a lack of point deduction to keep them in at a minimum Europa League. No way they'd give them a deduction to keep them out completely or just in for Europa Conference League.

For once, I'm actually rooting for United tomorrow.

Rangers were actually liquidated and came back under a new entity. Doesn't matter to most but it's the reason Celtic fans refer to them as Sevco Rangers or Rangers 2012.

Don’t we have a crystal Palace fan on here? What a match. Up 2-0 after Brighton sleepwalked through the first half. Then on the back foot the entire second half, and —boom — a goal out of nowhere to go up 3-0.

Moves them a few points above relegation. I would like to see both them and Ipswich Town avoid relegation. Ipswich is playing much better recently.

Yeah, Pitt 90seven. I tagged him above.

Pep must have thought it was in the bag, and then two of the worst defensive mistakes you will ever see within, what, 3 minutes of each other.

Imagine, if you can for a minute, if the City get a 15 point deduction.
This is relegation level performance. Do this over a season and its curtains. Imagine the exodus of players if that were to happen. Haaland would be playing in Madrid earlier than anyone thought.

@pitt90seven big Trev isn’t starting and Chris Richards is. Palace is getting pounded. Richards stinking up the joint?

turned it off at halftime. decided that was enough and watching BB.

defense sucks. i mentioned before that CR's ceiling is backup lower-level PL/championship starter. right in that area.

we still have nathaniel clyne playing in defense so it's not all on him. defense isn't good.

Saw richards sofa score was 5.9, lowest of any player. Also had two giveaways. So not sure if one of them led to a goal against.

Lovely to see Bournemouth hammering United at the Beaver Stadium of the EPL right now. 3-0.
Ended 3-0 and MU looked just as disjointed as they did under the prior coach.

Meanwhile, Chelsea looked like they could have played another 90 minutes and still not scored against Everton. I thought Everton could have had two in the second half.

I always used to like Nottingham Forest just because of the name. Then, they got relegated and I lost track of them. (Sunderland is the only Team I follow in that league.) All of a sudden, they are not only promoted, they are 4th.

Anyone know when “Welcome To Wrexham” will be back on?

As a chelsea fan Ive been having the most fun I’ve had in a few years. They were leading the league in goals and routinely peppering the goal with 20+ shots in games. Today they had only 12 shots and it was a snooze fest. Maybe they thought it was Christmas. Missed opportunity. I hate dropping points in games like this.

Wait until you drop 3 more on Boxing Day
