looks like a new verbal

Here we go with those MONSTERS and DIAMONDS, that's when you know people are grasping. I will trust the staff but he is not recruiting much differently than Sleepy Wisky

He reminds me some buccannon for the cardinals, played S in college and pretty much plays LB for the cardinals

This guy looks like a very good recruit to me. 1., Narduzzi knows D and his record recruiting
defensive players is unquestioned. 2. He was in camp and the coaches got a first hand look
at him. 3. Three stars from Fla and one of the top hs programs in America....enough said.
IMO this not the typical 2 or three star recruit we saw under PC. He does have a few major
conference offers (Pittsburgh paper said Nebraska offered). His film looked impressive to me,
he's clearly fast...4.5. Narduzzi is looking for speed....he must have listened to Wanny's
"we need to run faster" comment. LOL. My guess is they're gonna bulk him up to be
a lb'r given the numbers and talent we're now getting at DB.

Fla has a ton of talent. He is 6'1" at 195 and runs a 4.5 40. I love the way this kid pursues the ball carrier and finishes the play.

All I know is the kid has yet to play his senior season and has two championship rings - one of which he earned as a junior starter. Aquinas has FOUR state titles this decade.

Yes, Aquinas is 7A but if you don't know what Aquinas is then you should read up on it. All it does is turn out college athletes, not just football players. It's actually academically rigorous. This isn't grabbing some raw athlete out of Pahokee (Sorry Sticky Ricky).

And as someone said here or on twitter it's NEVER a bad thing to have made an inroad to this school. He's fast, he's from a program that cranks out D1 players, he's likely a pretty good student. Not much to dislike at this point, but we'll see in four or five years as with any other recruit.

True and great to have him. However, he has not starred for STA and he has been evaluated and passed on by many schools. Hopefully our coaches know better.

No offense, but if you star at St. Thomas Aquinas you have tons of offers. I hope he is a good find, but there is no doubt he has been looked at by basically every school and only 2 BCS programs chose to offer thus far.
I'm not defending the offer because I mostly agree with you but I will note that he was 6'0 180 a year ago and now is listed at 6'3 205. Even if he is really only 6'2 200, that is a big growth spurt and might suppress his offers (he was never going to get big time offers, but the size might have held off schools like Georgia Tech, Virginia, Rutgers, etc).

I'm not thrilled with the offer or verbal, just pointing out that he has grown and while he didn't star at star, he did start.

Agreed. Just was saying it was a completely inaccurate characterization, especially when you consider his school is a football powerhouse with close to double digit P5 recruits and thus seen by almost every school.

Just a weird statement. Those schools are not going to offer a 3 star undersized kid no matter what school. Not until he grows more or gets more love on these sites. I think, if anything, you should be touting Narduzzi for finding someone like this. It is not like we didnt have other LB options, we are pulling LB scholarships now according to Vuk. Clearly we wanted this guy, and undersize kids usually do get more of a later offer sheet. Kid could be Jerry O for all we know.

I think he was considered to be a bit undersized by some big programs, and so they held off on offers. His increase in height will let him add weight and maintain his excellent speed. He should be able to add 15 to 20 lbs. over the next two years, making him a 6'2 or 6'3, 220 lb. linebacker with speed and aggressiveness. Moldable clay in Narduzzi's hands.

What schools? Power 5 schools? They all saw him. Basically none offered him. No one is talking about Alabama or Ohio State. And you think schools like Alabama and Ohio State see kids on film and then don't offer them until they get 4 or 5 stars? Hah.

This kid wasn't unknown. He was passed over. Hopefully CPN has a better eye, but he wasn't "found" by Pitt/CPN.

Absolutely not true in the least. Who do.you kmow "passed over him?" And you think those schools offer many 3 star recruits 2 years before loi day? Really??? I honestly have never seen that. Very very few offers go.to the 2 3 star kids from mega Powers long before their senior years. If they did you'd have lots more 3 star kids verballing to those schools

I'd agree it is too early in the process to say anyone passed over him. Happy Pitt loves the kid and he wanted to come here.

I think the Duzz knows exactly what he needs to get his defense to be shut down. In particular, he is looking for specific skill sets to fill certain positions. The star LB position requires speed as the number one characteristic, and Tucker has this quality in spades. If he continues to grow to 6'3" or 6'4" he will be able to support 230 pounds or so without sacrificing much speed.
All you doubters think about that. Would you like a kid with that size and speed to man that position after a redshirt year or maybe as a sophomore? I will be the first to admit that kids like this don't always work out, but teams like Bama and OSU don't need these types because they can attract 4 and 5 star kids that are ready to star as true freshman.
Show a little faith in Narduzzi, he knows what he wants. Will he be right 100% of the time? No, but this kid will get a chance, and sometimes a chance is all you need to become a player.

Did anybody here get his specific measurables and see him go thru a workout? I have seen a wide range listed on him. If he indeed just hit or is going thru a growth spurt, then that could explain why some big names have not offered. There is a big difference between 6-0 and 6-3, 190lbs and 210lbs, and 4.5 and 4.85 speed.
