Lunardi doing his best to try to force Pitt out

I don't care about Lunardi, recruit better, coach better and beat the good teams and it doesn't matter what he says.

You guys complaining about what Lunardi said are obviously doing so just because you don't like him. I don't have any thoughts on him one way or the other but I do know that he continuously stated throughout all the telecasts last night that Pitt was now in the tournament. He then throws out a comment that they shouldn't lose by 30 or more to UNC so as to not give the committee something to think about and you jump all over him. Get real. He for all intents and purposes said they are in.

Before the games of Wednesday Lunardi had Pitt as the last non-play in team, so there were four teams closer to out than Pitt. Lunardi had Oregon State as the first team out. So essentially they were five spots lower than Pitt in the Lunardi world. Then on Wednesday Pitt beats a team that is good enough that at the beginning of the day he had them as being in the field, albeit on the bubble, and Oregon State beat a team that went 5-13 in the PAC12 this year. And after those two results Pitt actually moved down one slot and Oregon State moved up five spots, so that they were the last team with a bye and we were the first team in the play in game.

Now think about the "logic" it took to arrive at that conclusion. Pitt was several spots ahead of Oregon State. Pitt played a much better team than Oregon State did. Both teams won their game. And yet somehow Pitt found themselves below Oregon State in the wacky world of Joe Lunardi. I honestly would love to hear him explain how he came to that conclusion, because there is no logical reason for that outcome. Literally none. The guy either has an agenda or he's just not all that bright.

Or both. It could be both.
