We played pretty well they did have 3 or so big plays setup by poor tackling the first big run should have seen them punting but in fairness to the d psu is pretty damn good at rb and we/the. The ol just flat out sucked at run blocking but they did pass block ok, the problem is they needed to play almost perfect if PSU didn't have any turnovers and they almost did it. If you told me the final score I would have guessed PSU had a few TO.

A future that looks ok? Yes. Pitt will win some games. Let’s enjoy this emerging bad ass defense. It’s coming!

I love watching the defense. We hit hard

Our defense looked good, had some critical missed tackles that went for big yards. O line needs coached up to open holes for our backs who look like they are in slow motion. Granted they are young but wow. Pickett played very well, again dropped passes on crucial downs. Not going to say we should have won, but we certainly could have won.

Connelly released his next-level stats on this today for anybody interested.

Penn State has a post-game win expectancy of 83%. So at least according to the nerds we didn’t play as well as the eye test might seem.

Yes Pitt QB and receivers played extremely well however the proof is in the pudding. It's one thing to use their animosity against PSU to gear up and play lights out against a better opponent and is it just a one and done effort? We'll see if Pitt has enough left in the tank for the next few games or do they do there usual swan dive. Time will tell.

True, we face a much harder opponent this week, that last year we couldnt even be in the same stadium with. So, we will see how far the D has grown
