Meech moves on to round 2 with a 12-7 win. He was down 7-6 going into the 3rd, but it looks like he did his usual gassing of his opponent by then. His hyperactivity will be his biggest weapon, outside of his blast double.

Same with rd 2. Meech really struggled with Stencil's ability to leverage his size. Its one thing to be big, its another to be able to use it so effectively
Usually, Meech dominates late in matches. But, in this one he was gassed by the middle of the 2nd period and was really dominated those last 3 minutes.
When Meech was up 2-1 in the first period, he thought he got a takedown before they went off the mat. So did I, although it was close. He was complaining to the ref, lost his concentration, and gave up a 6 point move. That was the match.
I thought Gavin should have challenged. Even if the challenge lost, it would have given Meech time to get his head together. Instead, he gave up those quick six points and couldn’t make it up.
