Game was there for the taking. But bad teams like Pitt always find a way to lose. Game highlights: Artis and Jeter not showing up; Young acting like he was afraid on D to get within 2 feet of Miami's C, (what a wuss) leading to about 10 uncontested points on layups; 5 point difference at the end of the first half-Pitt misses an easy shot and then lets Miami go the other way for 3 at the buzzer; Pitt up 5 at the half and Smith and Robinson at the start of the second half throw up two bricks with wide open threes; rebounding the second half was terrible capped off by letting a dwarf get the game winning tip-in; and then we have Dixon sitting Wilson for most of the first portion of the second half after he had sparked Pitt to a half-time lead. Lousy coaching plus poor play=LOSS! Have to say, i wouldn't care if this entire roster left next year. They're disgusting in every way but mostly so because they play with no intensity or heart.

Take a page out of Huggins' book. He was in a similar situation. He got rid of some of his better primadonna players and got tough SOB's who are willing to battle. JD needs to challenge the guys who are not playing both ends of the court. They will either step up to the challenge or leave. If they leave, then so be it and get some warriors like Chevy, Brandin, Sam, Jaron, Julius, etc.

Dixon seems to me the players coach to a fault. He better get some top 100 players , few each year, or we are never getting to the dance anytime soon.

Yea Huggy ran off big-time scorers Eron Harris and Terry Henderson and they went from an NIT program to Sweet 16 program. If this team doesnt make the tournament, I'd like to see Artis and Young try their luck at the next level and go really young next year with guys who give great effort.

Addition by subtraction.
