## I watched this on my laptop (the acc.com live feed - quite good, BTW), but only saw the second half due to a late appointment which prevented me from getting home in time to watch from the outset

## So today's Moe-bservations can only reflect what I saw in the second half, but given the fact we were down 25 pts it's not representative - I think - to what I'd have observed if the game were closer

## The "consistency" I see is no different from many others here: we haven't been competitive with teams that feature strong bigs, and/or teams that defend well. And speaking of defense, ours stinks. Scoring more points to overcome defensive lapses is not a great recipe for success unless you have consistent scorers. And we don't

## the second half looked like we were more concerned with Rowan not scoring than we were Barber not scoring; fail ! And it also looked like we had no "plan" for cutting into NCST's lead, although we did manage to reduce their lead by almost half before committing another turnover or foul; the foul by Artis on Barber on his missed three-point shot was the dagger ... and yes, I know there were still enough minutes left to make a run, but after THAT moment, we had no chance IMO

## Regarding Pitt fans reactions to games like this: unfortunately the fans' reactions to losses seem to polarize the fan base almost as much as our politicians have polarized the populace when it comes to the state of the union! I may be a populist of sorts when it comes to the politics of the US, but when it comes to Pitt BB, I tend to sit on the fence. Not sure I want us to oust Dixon just yet ... but teams who are "top 25 level teams" don't lose to teams such as NCST on their home floor. Despite a 15-3 record, we really aren't playing like it
