Narduzzi

I didn't know the word "thug" was racial. They used that term for gangsters and mob members, who were mostly white. I don't read tweets, and social media, but Was that all they could accuse HCPN of doing.

Liberals steal the language and redefine it as they see fit... To me a thug is a violent criminal. These ANTIFA idiots are made up of mostly young white college kids. To me, they are thugs.

Are you really that out of touch?

You must be one of those young punks who thinks the world revolves around the younger generation and minorities. If the word thug offends you, get over it. It's been used long before this generation showed up
Well there's plenty of young folks in the streets right now all over the country, go out on the streets and call them thugs.

Then come back and let us know how that worked out for you tough guy.....if you even make it back in one piece.

Better yet, shout it out at the next Pitt game you attend. Say it loudly and show your Pitt pride.

There's plenty of them among this fanbase and I'm glad to see them show their true colors.

Let them expose themselves.....weed em out one by one.
So if we don’t or didn’t associate anything racial with the word ‘thug’, what are our true colors? Please enlighten us.

Who knew, until now I could have easily described the father-son dopes who shot Aubrey Meadows as thugs as well.

I have no idea who the heck is Aubrey Meadows or what you're talking about.

But thanks for showing up, you've been accounted for.

You are both out of touch. Grow up. And get over it. The word thug is not racial. Been around long before you have, and oh, by the way. ( all lives matter )

It’s especially true that for someone who lived in Youngstown in the 60s or 70s, the term “thug” would likely be associated with the mob... Lots of mob history and violence in Youngstown in those years.

Go Pitt.

Cap-- You strike me as a reasonable person so I'll try to present this in a way that i think you'll be able to appreciate. Every word and phrase in the English language have both a denotation and often several connotations depending mostly on the context in which they are used. While we can all agree the word thug has no racial denotation to it, I think we can at least acknowledge that it's been over used in the context of describing African American young men. Often times these labels are unfairly attributed to people of color because of things like their style of hair, their dress, their use of ebonics (slang). None of these things match the denotation of thug which according to the dictionary is a violent person especially a criminal. Its these connotations that unfairly label African Americans and honestly its the major source of why people are protesting because unfortunately not all but a portion of our American population including some police officers see black skin and think "thug' which explains their excessive responses toward people of color. To bring things back to Narduzzi he isn't a racist, but he is a bit ignorant to some of the sensitive matters that young black men face. I'm a highly educated black man but I have had to overcome and fight those connotations my whole life. I had a culturally unaware coach in college who made a similar ignorant remark and action that caused me to quit the team. Instead of us always fighting and arguing we ought to try listening to one another's points which are usually logical even if we don't agree. This is not an attack on you, just a person with real life experience on the subject sharing some insight.

You’re a bit off on that assessment.

And the word thug doesn’t offend me, but I’m a middle aged suburban white guy. I also realize that the word “thug” has been used specifically to describe young black men that look and dress a certain way for at least the last 20 years.

Again-I truly don’t believe Narduzzi is any kind of racist, and I don’t believe he had any racist intent with the use of that term. He has coached hundreds of young black men, most of whom seemed to have liked and apprecIated him. But he needs to choose his words better. If you’re a middle aged who’re guy working with dozens of black men ages 18-22, you’d be wise to drop that word from your lexicon.

And some of you would-be Archie Bunkers sitting in front of Fox News all day with your MAGA hats on out there need to stop telling the rest of the world how it should and shouldn’t perceive things. All you know is what you know, and what you know isn’t much.

A man was killed in the streets by a police officer with a knee to his neck for 8 minutes, while other officers held him down and looked on. And these incidents happen far too often.

Is that reason enough for you????

Get your head out the damn sand and stop asking stupid questions.

What is your plan for real action? What are you going to do in the real world to make an impact since you are so passionate about it?

been trying to educate folks like yourself, but you all don't want to listen. And I'm fine with that.

You ain't gotta listen, but you gonna hear me.

yeah, and some of them still won't listen

You didn’t answer the questions.

Neither of those things
Now answer my question. if you’re against anti-fascists -
Are you pro fascist?

The question in itself is simplistic. Anyone in their right mind would be anti-fascist including myself. The question is; what are the intentions of the group who claim to be anti-fascist (antifa)? There is no leader or structure, so the purpose is left to the individual. Some are just there to create havoc because they get off on it…

Like this little cellar dweller….

Yes, his mommy and daddy escorted junior to the police station… How special!

Guess you missed the part there is no evidence of antifa affiliation in your Tucker link
They buried that tidbit until the end

perhaps his purpose was to undermine racial justice protest as he’s a tiki torch alt right kid?

it’s fun to speculate to craft a narrative !

Th
that kid would have fun in prison . IN AMERICA.

Well he's going to prison, if only for a year or three. Which pretty much means his life is over. He's nothing but a yummy juicy target there.

The same can be said for all of you left wing, liberal, socialists. Get over yourself. You don't know anything.

Once again, some of you are making this into something it isn't, twisting words and facts to suit your narratives. Take Narduzzi's words at face value and move on. You're wasting your time trying to define or re-define words that gets you nowhere.

I guess you missed the part where he was wearing an Antigua mask on many pictures on the internet... If he wore a white hood you’d say there is no proof he’s with the KKK...Right?

Isn’t it fun to discredit a narrative because it doesn’t meet your political views?????

I love when you try to be smug and fail...
