Nate Santos is a 6-7, 180-pound Small Forward from Windsor, CT.
Don’t know much about him, report says probably between Pitt and GW? Not sure how much that says either.
Talent isn't the issue with him, its prior injuries.
He was a former 3rd team All New England selection from the Nepsac and led his team in scoring while leading his team to the Nepsac A Championship which is a quality league. 16.9 Pts/6.1 Reb. / 1.5 Ast/1.1 Stl were his numbers, right in line with comparable players from the Nepsac like Matt Cross last year who went to Miami. I knew about this kid last year when Odukale was the National Prep player of the year runner up and Uconn was looking at this kid.
He can shoot and is in that 6'7 / 6'8 range. Likes the 3 point shot. Quality student, offered by Yale. Rick Pitino also offered. Had a number of quality offers early on that arent there anymore since the injury. Has upside with his shooting ability. Missed 2 summers of AAU summer ball because of injuries which is a bigger reason he is under the radar.
Has potential, but again, needs to stay healthy. Prior ACL tear. Has the talent to contribute in the ACC. If he can knock down shots in the ACC, his height will help him even further. Good potential
If he were to stay healthy- looks like a solid 4 year contributor type (not that they exist anymore 🤔).
