Kaden Archie he looks like a Capel guy.
Great defensively, just couldn't see the court enough for Jamie.

Don't know anything about the player, but I do know that the transfer situation in college basketball has become ridiculous. It is hard to imagine many teams doing what Pitt did so well in their best years and have players develop over 4 or 5 years. If a well regarded recruit doesn't get immediate playing time they begin to look elsewhere.

Exactly, Jamie said, we just don't have enough minutes for him.
He did play double digit minutes in most games, but it wasn't enough.
Playing time was the reason he was leaving.

We are probably setting ourselves up for another disappointment on the recruiting front. Wake me up when Capel finally gets anyone to commit this year.

I don't think that every time someone posts a transfer notification that they are indicating Pitt involvement.

Yea seriously.. Don't need to keep hearing about random transfers or guys capel is "in on" Unless he actually lands them.. Which he hasn't done once yet for 2019

Seems like a Birch situation. Highly ranked primadonna but not really that good right away so he pouts and leaves.

Yup. Playing 10 minutes a game and only shooting 24%. And he's stuck behind two players much better than him.

What a nightmare for most coaches today. If you recruit too many good players, the ones without enough playing time will leave.

Don't worry he's probably gonna go to Illinois with, Kofi and Christian Brown.

A nightmare for Coaches????? Why. The Coaches can up and leave any second they want. So why can't the players. They learned from the Coaches.

Typically I’d say maybe he didn’t like the system but tcu offense is completely different and more entertaining than he ever had at Pitt, I can’t believe a kid transfers that quickly after 12 games haha. He is v atheletic but not a good shooter at all. Rumor is they basically didn’t like his fit into the shoot heavy offense . Idk

The rules are going to be the rules and we won't get to determine them.

The question for me is do you think Capel will be able to recruit transferring players from other colleges more effectively than other programs recruiting Pitt players transferring out?

I think the answer is yes. I think Pitt can benefit from these rules, like them or not. Granted, I am just going by my gut, but I really think Pitt could be a winner as a team with a dynamic coaching staff that could both get like the RMU types transferring up and the UNC types transferring down.

The late, great Al McGuire used to say, “I would recruite one great player and four role players and they’d all be happy”. It doesn’t work that way anymore.

I tend to think he would, but I have been surprised that Pitt, with Capel and even Stallings before didn't do better in the transfer market. This has been an ACC team with playing time to spare that has not drawn much interest in the way of transfers. They may not have prioritized it, but I would have thought they would have landed a mid-year guy this year, and more than N'dir in the offseason.

I presume we will see them land transfers though, the energy of this team, the appeal of Capel, we seem to be set up to add some guys.
