Hamlin is a huge get for PITT, Mathews and Toney could be nice players at whichever school they end up at, but its the perception that bothers most of the members in the Lion's Den. Potentially losing one or maybe two pledges to Pitt this late in the game after losing so many commits the past two months has the fan base on edge.
You're talking about a once top five class running on fumes into signing day, then to boot their friends from the west snatch up one or two guys plus one of their top remaining uncommited targets, it stings but life goes on. Regardless of what happens PSU still has a solid class, reeled in the majority of the top in state talent and Pitt should be happy with how their recruiting has continued to improve. I for one am happy Pitt and PSU are going to play again on the field and all of this message board non sense can actually be settled between the two schools on the gridiron.

Matthews was upset we got Winfree. Now that he is gone, maybe he feels he can beat out Challingsworth, Zeise, Flowers, and French and start from Day 1. I walked past him at the Pitt game. Seems like he has the build of a LB or DE if he can put on some weight.

The most logical and likely thing is that the PatSignal this morning was for Hamlin. If not him, then why the silence from whoever else it might be?

First the silence could be the kid, yes kid is in school. Second Narduzzi isn't going to announce who it is. Third if its a flip the kid will decommit before saying PITT is it. It doesn't make any sense that it would be for Hamlin at all.
True, with time it looks more likely it is Hamlin. That would make my year thus far
we get Hambone and Camp and anything else is just gravy. We do need a WR if we can get a good one, I'd be very happy to see Matthews in a Pitt uni.
