I'll say 3-1. I think we might lose to GT but win the other 3. That puts us right back in the Last 4 In area.
All winnable but certainly none easy.
I would settle for 2-2. We need to rebound and our offense needs to be more than just Burton and jump shots. Hinson and Elliot were pretty much absent tonight. No more sneaking up on anyone, teams will begin to clamp down on Burton, and make us win other ways. We have enough talent to do it,but, no game will be easy. We have been a good shooting team for the most part, but it might not continue if the guys have tired legs.
Right. There are coaches coaching in this league afterall. Pitt’s coach needs to come up big to offset scouting and coaching efforts of his opponents. He will lose again if he’s not prepared.
Settling for 2-2 means we would be a bubble NIT team at best and no where close to making the NCAA Tournament.
No chance we beat Wake. That have our number for whatever reason.

Agree Sauce. I was high on this team, but beginning to see cracks in the foundation. I would be elated with a trip to the NIT. I was impressed with Femi, but, nights like tonight make me realize that we probably aren't more capable than an NIT birth. We just have no inside game on offense and that hurts. The beating we took on our defensive boards was inhumane. These are weaknesses that will likely keep us out of the dance.
Pitt has gone from an absolute horrible team to an elite team in some peoples eyes in less than last 2 months . They’re neither they’re somewhere in between . They’re capable of beating anyone and they’re capable of losing to anyone . They’re playing better than most on here ever expected , their prize recruit isn’t playing , their best player from last season isn’t playing and their 6th man from last season isn’t playing . It is what it is , but it’s far better than we expected and the future looks promising.
Yeah, I think that's accurate. A brief stretch of games, in the grand scheme of things, have really skewed perceptions and expectations, but we're probably an NIT team at face value. I'd have most likely signed up for being an NIT team and playing competitive ACC games before the season, and I'd have definitely signed up for it after that Michigan game.
It's frustrating in the heat of the moment, but definitely not the end of the world. The goals for this season should be to remain respectable (i.e. make some type of postseason tournament) and use it as a springboard to start building a program. I definitely have my doubts about Capel, but whatever. Just get some more talent in here, in rebuild #3 or 4 or whatever number we're on under him, and take it from there. Things appear to be trending in a positive direction from a program standpoint. There weren't many other directions to go, but it just feels more legit this time. The twins are good developmental players, and you have some nice pieces committed these next few years.
I am hanging on about as tight as I can. But honestly my expectations for this year are met if we do t collapse and we make the NIT. Which we should be to do. I am still annoyed by our last two games and for I hate losing at Duke so much!!!!
An NIT bid is the best we can hope for with this team. That would be progress which is more than what we've done the past 5 or 6 years. If we can somehow get to 18 total wins, including at least 1 win in the ACCT, we might have a chance at the NIT. At least there's some hope.
