My niece just finished her junior year at NW and her boyfriend is a NW football player. She said they walked through it when it was opened to the football team in early April, and that it is just jaw dropping. There is a lot of controversy about it as NW has always been a school that emphasizes academics far more than athletics, the facility only serves athletes, not the general student population, and they built it on a premium piece of waterfront property that some think had better uses. Pat Fitzgerald has been pushing for major facilities upgrades since he got there, and the promise of this is one of the major reasons he has stayed there for 12 years instead of moving to a bigger job.
