This was what I had a bigger issue with than the slapping and the money. That’s the biggest night of their lives and you’re making it about yourself. So selfish.

The cop seemed like he had a stick up his ass. Why was he in the winning locker room interrogating the team about cigars after they won the championship. Just let them celebrate. The video wasn't even that bad of a slap. Listen I think obj is a dumbass, but this cop is worse.
Ed made the mistake with having him in the locker room. I guarantee he thought it would give a little oomph having him there. If they're in this position again, I guarantee you Ed won't have him there or probably any former celebrity players.
If it is against the law to do something, and there is a cop there. Then don’t do it. Pretty simple.

Just hearing about this today, but I have to ask. If he slapped a cop on the butt, and the action was worthy of an arrest warrant, why didn't the cop arrest him on the spot?

Busting these kids’ chops for having a drink and smoking a cigar is a bit over the top. As long as it’s not out of hand let them have a little fun. They just won the friggin championship.
The arrest warrant is a bit much. And if that was the right course of action it shouldn’t have taken a full day. The reasons for this go beyond braking the law/assault. Could have been handled differently and much better. Some kind of statement perhaps.
OBJ was and will likely continue to be a flaming asshole as he was the entire postgame. From the money to grabbing the bullhorn to the smack on the ass. Doing it to a cop takes it to another level but again - keep your hands to yourself unless you’re familiar with the other person.

I can't understand how any educated person can blame the lowly cop for enforcing the rules of the premises. Keep him out of the area if you want to, but don't expect him to decide who is allowed to break the rules and who isn't.
