Not an excuse because we were in position to win and failed too.
I blame the coach's for that. Watson's play calling has but horrible all season.
But the officiating was horrible especially with the lack of interference calls.
Announcers said stroman was great but he held all day. Look at the 3rd and goal at the end .
And on the play before Weah's catch Matthews (i think) got pulled down in the middle of the field with no call.
And let' not forget the hit on Pickett on the time out after everyone stopped that wasn' called. No unneccessary roughness or roughing the passer ?
Again not an excuse to lose but just mentioning it was piss poor.

Yes, I saw that too, Ffrench was the player pulled down from behind.

Thought Weah was also PI on another play when the db just jumped into him to break up the pass.

Was there an official on the field under the age of 60? A friend of mine is a college football official and he says there is really a problem trying to get the younger guys into the high school officiating pool... which then has up-stream effect.

The DB did jump Weah a split second too soon, but that was fine as a no call. The missed call on Ffrench was pathetic, but as the original post mentioned, by no means the reason Pitt lost today.

Agreed, those calls were not the reason for the loss but would be nice to catch a break sometime.

Add a few offensive PI calls that weren't made. Maddox would have had 3 INTs of not for the WR playing through him to try and knock down the pass.

Tough loss that the OL failed to create any room or time for Pickett to find the open receiver.

Add not stopping the clock after the 2nd down run on the goal line where VT wouldn't get off Hall. Clock should have been stopped there.

Nearly every play on that last drive had a PI on VT that wasnt called.

How about offense PI against Maddox when we had an easy interception and VTs WR just grabbed him to try to stop an INT, and was successful, but that is always called OPI, but not this time. And they ended up scoring on that drive.

The entire game was horsesh*t. It was like the Louisville game, 3 or 4 years ago that we also lost at the end.
