This was supposed to be a good defensive team. I know they are without Dunn, but you still have Leggett and Austin.

Diaz is a liability on both ends. Go with younger Kante.
This team sucks defensively.

Is O$U really this good or is Pitt this bad defensively? Pitt has been less than abysmal so far on defense. When we play the good teams, this will always be a problem. O$U could get to 90 on us easily if Pitt doesn't find a way to play even mediocre defense.
Diaz Graham mostly plays the four (although he's not at the moment). Kante can barely play the five at this level.
Or they could just not call any more fouls on Ohio State the rest of the half.
This team is slow and doesn't move its feet well or anticipate anything. They are always caught out of position because we have to help the man guarding the ball.

Yeah, I've seen every minute that Kante has played. And all live and in person. He's been OK in garbage minutes against garbage opponents. This situation is neither one of those.
Why do so many fans always think that the guy that the coaches feel isn't good enough to play at all is the solution to all the team's problems?

Terrible defensive effort. 39 points offense is solid, but man, can't play that type of D in the 2nd Half.
We need to figure out how we close the gap between other teams scoring down low and our ability to score down low

I wondered what the assist number for us was. Surprised it was as high as two. Give O$U credit as they have been playing great defense on the pick and roll, and they avoided the "and one" when we got layups. We have to defend the perimeter better
The problem that half was the same as it was in the second half against Wisconsin. The guards simply cannot stay in front of the person they are guarding. So you end up with two Ohio State guards at the half with a combined 19 points on 7-11 from the field with 8 assists.
How is man-to-man working? They are scoring in the paint as well as from the 3. Thoughts?

Well, I haven't seen him play 1 minute. I heard he was a good rebounder and shot blocker. That's 2 things I know Diaz can't do.
Lowe can't keep dribbling around like this and expect that it will produce offense. No ball movement, few assists on offense. Lowe with 1 assist, team with 2 total assists???? But our FT shooting is good. 
And as said before, this Pitt defense is really bad and unprepared. It will be an accomplishment if O$U can be held to less than 90 today. 100 is a possibility and would be an embarrassment for Pitt, especially if we keep this up and are unable to keep it close. Really disappointing first half all the way around in all aspects of the game.
