Ohio State Game Thread

Do u count keeping balls alive? He had at least 3 of those. I seen him boxing out on the offensive side of the ball. Diaz NEVER gets position. He altered shots, blocked at least 1.

He played 17 minutes and got 0 defensive rebounds. On a day that Ohio State offensive rebounds helped keep them afloat in the second half.

Helluva ending. Lowe and Leggett frustrate the living daylights out of me on offense sometimes, and the entire team infuriates me on the glass. Hopefully we can clean some things up, but this was a big win.

I really liked what I saw from Papa Kante, too.

Maybe he thinks that "Barnes" is pronounced "Jones."

I know the announcers aren't typically looking at the monitor, but it was kind of funny that both times he called him Jones his back was to the camera and you could see Barnes, Jr right there.

Great game in the second half by Pitt!!! We limited O$U to 29 points in the second half and 13 in OT. The defense really picked up in the second half. Great job by Lowe with 28 points and Leggett with 21. Papa was outstanding and a real spark. He deserves to start as long as he can stay out of foul trouble. And of course the dagger by Austin with 0.4 seconds in OT. That's a replay for the ages.

I haven't looked at the stats yet, but I'd wager that almost half of O$U's second half points came from the foul line. The forced turnovers by us on them was also a big reason why we ended up winning

So you don't think 0 defensive rebounds in 17 minutes from your center might be a problem?
You really are bent on focusing on a weakness. How about giving him some credit. He has hardly played since the injury and did some good things for us. Even more importantly, we need frontcourt help badly. The sooner we can get 15 to 20 good minutes out of him, the better this team becomes.

He did some things really well. He did some things that he's going to have to improve if we play him more going forward.
Quit being a sourpuss.

He played a fantastic game for a freshman playing his first significant minutes in a hostile environment against a likely NCAA Tournament team.

Pitt doesn't come close to winning that game without his contributions. He certainly gave the team much more than GDG and Corhen did tonight.

Actually I have said in more than one post that he did some good things. Including praising his nice pump fake move that got him an and one and another trip to the foul line. That's something you can build off of on the offensive end.

Corhen was invisible. But we knew that going in with him. Some games he's on fire. The next game he disappears.

Leggett makes better decisions with the ball than basically anyone on the team so I don't relate to this one. Lowe definitely is a you have to take some of him forcing it nonsense unfortunately to get his positive contributions on the pick and roll.

Anyway top 5 Pitt regular season game for me since the 80s possibly.
