OT: Arkansas Football Recruiting

I understand stars are not end all be all, but Arkansas has 9 to 11, 4 star recruits committed to the team depending what site you are looking at and I can't understand it. The team is 2-9 this season with wins over Eastern Illinois and a two win Tulsa team.

Only three of the recruits are from Arkansas so it is not like the state of Arkansas is having an outstanding football class. On top of that HC Chad Morris isn't anything special. His best season as a head coach was a 7-5 SMU team. Kind of scratching my head a little. Chad Morris has only had one winning season in his entire college head coaching career and has 9 to 11 four star recruits.

I understand they haven't signed the paper yet, but still very impressive and mind boggling.

Be careful talking about Arkansas' 4 star recruits. An ex Arkansas 4 star
transferred here as a tight end and can't start. He hardly ever sees the field,
and he plays at probably out weakest and most depleted position.

Great point. In a season of positive surprises, this one is a big negative. Not that you expected greatness but COMPETENCE would have been nice. Even after the starter wigged out and quit the team, he couldn't make the field. Medure playing now is / was a walk on wasn't he?
