It could be a concert, a particular sporting event... anything. And your reasoning may vary (could have been a great game/show or just a great personal experience).

I attended a Billy Joel lecture at the Carnegie Music Hall where he told stories and sang in between. It was a fantastic experience. I think it was around 1996.

I was at the WWE Hell in the Cell event in Pittsburgh where Mankind, aka Mick Foley, was tossed from the top of the cell. That was a crazy experience.

I was at both of those events as well! We must have attended at Pitt at the same time; both are great choices. The Mankind match was legendary and absolutely unforgettable.

I would have to go with the Pirates Wild Card win over the Reds as my #1. The atmosphere was phenomenal all night, and I lucked into some awesome seats behind home plate at face price.

Alright I will play....the 6th best live event (we have 5 sons) is the Simon & Garfunkel concert in Central Park in 1981. It was free, the atmosphere amazing the the speakers were the size of houses.

Woodstock for sure!
Would do it again for sure!

I was of the early dopes who purchased a ticket.
In the end it was a free for all and no tickets were necessary.

If you had a car that ran, had gas, when the "debauchery" concluded you could fill it
up with muddy "damsles in distress" looking for a ride almost anywhere!

After Woodstock I would say my trips to Xenon in NYCity in the 70's when I was single.

Those were the days!

I was at that King of the Ring. My interest in wrestling had been waning a bit at that point, so I can't say I enjoyed it as much as some other events. But, as far as recognizable events go, that's probably the most prominent one I've attended.

Woodstock WOW
Had just graduated HS in 1969 so this was good practice for my freshman year in college which started a few weeks after Woodstock.
About the same less the mud.
Woodstock ended 8/18 and around 8/22 I was trying to find a doctor in town that my parents didn't know? Back in the day back in action in a few weeks.

One Steeler game when I hooked up with two random chicks at the same time.
Where did you take them?
Hooking up with 60k all around you doesn't leave many options, mens room, women's room ( I did that once bad idea), car, parking lot, stairwell ( another bad idea), etc.

Well - December 6th 1969 at Altamont. No, I did not see the Hell's Angel kill somebody. I was way in the back and only noticed that the Stones had to stop and start several times. It was the opposite of Woodstock and is considered the end of the peace and love 60's.

It's almost amazing that a Woodstock attendee became YOU! LOL :)

Mark Johnson's 1st game as a pro after winning Olympic gold. Fleury's 1st game as a pro which was a shutout. PITT-psu game on Thanksgiving at 3 Rivers. Steelers-Raiders playoff game at 3 Rivers when the field was frozen because they only covered part the night before.

At clemson 2016 was pretty awesome.

2009 game 6 pens v red wings. The piece game. Loudest I ever heard the old barn.

Early 2000s I was at the famous philly guns and roses show where axl didnt show and it was a massive riot with police helicopters with guns aimed at us.

Last game pitt stadium was cool. So was first game after 9/11 due to the patriotic feel in the stadium.

As a kid I was at the pirates game where they clinched the division but I can't recall if it was 90, 91, or 92.

I was also at the weekend series when bonds came back as a giant. What an angry crowd.

It was the summer of 69 I graduated HS in June, was just trying to have fun before attending college, college wrestling was right around the corner, making enough $ to put gas in my Pontiac Firebird, loved music, so it just happened.:)
I'll never forget it for sure!

I was a King of the Ring. I was 3 rows back from the guard rail. That was a lot of fun. Metallica and the Red Hot Chili Peppers also put on great shows.

My dad posts on here. Hopefully he checks out this thread. He had an opportunity to go to Woodstock but couldn’t because he started a new job at Kennametal the following Monday.

I was also there. You had to be there to believe it. Had to throw a little Mike Lang in there.

I've paid handsomely to get tickets for a number of great concerts. Probably because I like me some free, but the one I was really wowed by was a free concert attended on a whim at Hartwood Acres by the Brian Setzer Orchestra. This was just before the Jump Jive and Wail and the Swingers movie and such. Some friends and I attended, because we were Stray Cats fans in the 80s. Then the Stray Cats broke up, and he disappeared. Flash forward about 15 years or so, we heard he was back (minus the Cats), he was in town and now playing with an "orchestra". What the heck was THAT gonna be?

Since it was free, what the hey... we went. Well that group blew me away and although the craze came and went quickly, I've remained a big BSO fan since (definitely my fav Christmas music).

Are we sure these events were really live? Dependent upon time and space and what dimension it occurred. Personally, I think alot of people are making things up.

Best concert-
The cure - wild mood swings tour-
No opening band- just them playing for 3 hours.

Sporting event- last game at Pitt stadium- still have a Length of endzone turf. Enough that I shared with others.
Met ironhead walking out of the stadium
