lol, i work from home brother, would take a hell of a pay raise to get me to have to drive into the city every day.

obviously most people agree with me, it's why there are so many vacant office buildings downtown and it's a ghost town on weekdays after 5pm.. the city of pittsburgh has declined by 40% in population in the last 40 years.. numbers dont lie.

Doge will take care of that - get in the office !
I’m alerting Elon !

Right. Can you walk from bakery square to shadyside hospital in 11 minutes?
i walked from Walnut street in shady side to McCardles Pub on 16th street in south side one night. no clue how long it took. the owner/bartender, great guy (He just sold) tells me i look like death and asks me what i want. I tell him Jameson. he just put a glass in front of me and left the bottle, it was awesome..

back to your question. It would probably take just as long to walk it as it would be to drive, especially if you take parking into consideration.

My fault .
So I’ll ask again- why are you going through downtown to Shadyside ?
I’m not. But it shouldn’t matter. The city is so awesome.
Lol
Let’s talk more about Trader Joe’s and cfa out in the burbs !
Trader Joe’s in east Liberty definitely has better parking. It’s one of the only places in town where parking is easier.

Which actually brings up a great point. Go to an appointment in town, say your doctor or your attorney, allow an extra 15 minutes to park and to get up to the office.

or get a doctor or lawyer in the suburbs so you dont have to go downtown and eat up 1/2 your day..

Well that’s the point. Theres a reason the world class physicians and high priced attorneys have offices in the burbs.

But if you listen to Souf, he will tell ya it’s because lots of people are scared.

Yep
It’s why all the tough medical cases get shipped out to the satellite offices !

60% of the office buildings in downtown are vacant. all the tax breaks and plans to make them into affordable housing wont change that.

Some do. And the reason why they’re in Oakland or the northside is because the cites were around before the burbs

Oh and the big trauma centers? Of course they’re in the city. They are right where they need to be.

And the cities and Appalachia are where the most unhealthy people live. And they aren’t building hospitals in Appalachia so…

Of course
It takes not being constantly afraid of everything.
You think you are dissing people and you are not. You just look like an ass. Everyone on this site will tell you this. You don't have to respond to every post because you think you are superior because you live in the city. That's laughable.

I don’t care what Anyone on this site think about me .
Hasn’t that been clear for decades ?
My self worth isn’t related to anonymous strangers .

And yes - if you are scared of riding public transportation- I will mock the hell out you .

My self worth would definitely take a hit if 94% of anonymous strangers think I'm a dik...I'm struggling with being at 72%...

Spoken like someone with a bad experience or two with HR?
I’ve watched entire hr departments get gutted and replaced with Workday
And nobody missed them

They are the high school guidance counselors of companies

Our hospital HR/Recruiter is more an obstacle to our department than any kind of assert.
Makes me glad I’m not in management anymore .
Happy to be compliance and pretty much a consultant to these young managers and leaders .
I get to do what I’m best at - fix problems , without all the headaches /

What a pissboy everlord.

Agree to a certain point.

I live east of the city. I especially find the south agitating though. Followed by the North.
I grew up east and my wife south. We live north and would never move in either of the directions we grew up. I agree south is the worst, but east is second for me.
