OT Central Florida Embarrasses Auburn- SEC 2-6 in Bowl Games, LOL SEC stinks

Whether or not you believe Georgia and bama are the two best teams.....I would think at least this scenario has SOME credibility with the doubters out there

With that in mind......if u think the two best teams are playing Monday night is indeed plausible.....

Then the idea of conference champs only is silly.....

Now.....if it goes to 8 teams......that is a different discussion which some of you have correctly pointed out

Eh I think PSU has more talent than Notre Dame. Central Florida's ENTIRE COACHING STAFF is going to Nebraska with Frost. Why you guys think this isn't a big deal is beyond me. Central Florida very easily could be a .500 team next season.

PSU is the only one of the three that scares me Notre Dame is a joke

But UCF only loses 6 senior starters, they should still be good.

And Nebraska might continue to suck, maybe the kids he got to go to UCF don't want to live next to a corn field.

In no other sports is it the BEST TEAMS that make playoffs 100%, Sometimes the critically acclaimed, subjective BEST TEAMS don't make it in the real sports. There should be OBJECTIVE slots and paths to the playoffs, like you win this division, this league, this game YOU ARE IN no matter what. And then, maybe a few slots for the LOSERS you feel sorry for and want to give extra chances too, because they APPEAR TO BE BEST, like Bama every year.

And, if you truly are the best team, win your damn conference. Not a hard concept.

THIS^^^

I never understood the sympathy for the RICH? RICH BOY Bama who's given every benefit of the doubt over and over, they FAIL and everyone feels sorry for them and wants to give them a 5th, 6th, 7th chance.

I am telling you coaching played a big role in UCF's record this season. I mean look Pitt basketball with Dixon one year, then the next season with, what, 4 starters back but with Stallings coaching them. Duke dropped during the rare times that Coach K was out sick. Louisville is a shell of itself without Pitino. I can go on and on.

I have zero fear of UCF next season, do you really believe they have that much more talent than Pitt? If at all?

Yes I do. If Pitt has as much talent as UCF, then Narduzzi sucks going 5-7.

UCF went 0-12 2 years ago. They aren't a team loaded with NFL draft prospects. They were brilliantly coached this year, played a terrible terrible schedule, got great QB play, and faced an Auburn team that clearly didn't want to be there. We should be able to beat them next season.

What you don't seem to understand is what drives the sport: The HAVES and not the HAVE NOTS. The SEC consistently has several top teams and in many cases 2 of the top 4 teams. The B1G sometimes has that. Those leagues drive the sport because their fanbases actually buy the tickets and watch the games. You can add OU and UT to that list. Those in power/control aren't just going to give away some of their access and dollars.

They are only going to 8, if there is more money to be made. After that happens, don't be surprised if there is a year when 3 or 4 SEC teams still end up in the semifinals. They actually care about winning and are the region that produces the athletes.

That's why I don't really watch the sport beyond Pitt, it's all revolving around those certain teams, and set up to cater to them and the powers that be actually want only name brand teams to get anywhere near the Top 10, let alone the finals.

Why not just drop all the pretenses and just have a Super League that only contains the 20-25 powerhouse blue bloods that are ALLOWED to ever play for the championship and quit pretending FBS is a thing? Then the second group, which would surely include Pitt could have a tournament so they can have something where they are allowed to have a shot to play for a trophy of some sort.

I just don't find it interesting when every playoff and every New Year's day you turn on the TV and it's usually the small group of teams as last year or 5 years ago or 10 years ago. At least if you let conference champions in, on G5 team in, there would at least be an outside chance of something different. I was really excited for the UCF game this year, I had someone I could root for for a change, someone that was a break from the monotony.

They may one day. Then Pitt and all those other schools will be completely screwed because they will lose almost every dollar they count on.

The reason a small group of teams plays for a NC is that they're exceptional, they've worked hard, hired the best coaches, recruited the best players, etc.

That's called exceptionalism!!! The Great usually get greater if they keep working hard at it!

I love it! I love to see the really good teams trash the up and comers.

It should motivate those programs and teams who get trashed to improve or decide not to play the sport!

There's alot of predictability in college football for a reason!
If you like random activity play the lottery. Anything can happen in that game.

I liked pro sports more when the best team could find and pay the best players to remain superior. If you want to compete find a way to improve instead of taking a handout like the Cleveland Browns will take this year by being able to select the # 1 player in the draft. They deserve and earned nothing just like their record shows!

That's boring to me. I like something where a wide variety of teams can get a shot, where things change constantly, I guess you'd rather have a March Madness where they just select UNC, Duke, Kentucky and maybe the BE or PAC12 or B1G Champ every year and not bother with the whole braketology thing- I Love when a 15 seed with 12 losses takes out the 2 seed from the P5 conference, I like it even more if they go further and mess up everyone's bracket.. I like the NFLs way of doing it, where you can turn around bad teams quick, and you don't have the Pirates losing 20 years straight.

I always prefer when the up and comers kick the blue bloods in the balls and take their stuff, even if it's by luck, I always prefer to see the very best teams NOT win the Championship and some talentless Cinderella NOBODY win it all, those are the greatest moments in sports history.

Not necessarily, they might be better off in smaller stadiums, spending less, playing in a I-AA 24 team tournament.

sure would have liked to see what Central Florida would have done against Georgia Tech
