OT: Enabler U is at it again

Did you guys miss the part where this is a federal investigation with victims in 6 other states?
4 crimes:

1. extortion victimizing PSU players
2. potential sexual assault by PSU players
3. players sending pornographic images without consent of the parties
4. PSU football covering up points 2 and 3

PSU better hope that girl consented or at least takes their hush money

Again, considering all that has happened in the world, and especially in the past in State College, the lack of journalistic curiosity is a bit disconcerting. As I mentioned before, the Canadian Jr Hockey Team from 2018 is being investigated for similar antics and it is really serious. So much, that the government cut off any funds aimed at the program.

Where are the Sara Ganim's when you need them?

Journalist's like Sara Ganim, her publisher and editors at the Harrisburg Patriot-New are extremely rare, there's even less of those types today.

To be fair, this doesn't see the light of day without an organization like Spotlight PA. WJAC had a role in this as well. At the end of the day, PA is a pretty corrupt state and nobody with any authority is in a rush to fix it.

Interestingly Sara wrote an article for USA Today last month about how colleges are silencing rape victims. Could this be what PSU did?

I think most us glossed over this from the Spotlight PA article last week:

"
The contents of the file are disturbing. The documents include intimate details about potential victims of extortion, and describe possible SEXUAL ABUSE. The documents raise a host of questions not just about what occurred, but how it was subsequently handled by the university, the district attorney’s office, and other law enforcement."

I'll say it again, it very much appears like PSU was covering up a gang rape. And if that ends up being true, and I'm just speculating, good God, the whole program may get shut down.

I am pretty sure the people conducting the investigation and responsible for bringing up charges don't want another Duke lacrosse fiasco on their hands.
