OT: George Pickens: "Free Me"

I was in town for the Pitt/Miami game back in 2019... Tuned into Madden and spent almost a whole show just trashing Juju. It was bizarre. Attacks were personal & over the top. Went off on Juju's numbers despite Steelers playing without Ben. I found the whole thing really strange.

Sounds about right for Madden.

He isn't wrong with questioning why he hasn't seen the ball thrown his way. He is the best WR on their team and they continue to ignore him in their play calling.

He caught 2 of 5 targets and should've had a third if he could drag his foot which was like 8 feet away from the sideline on the would be TD pass. Pickett also flat out missed him open a couple of times.

A competitive kid is great. A pouter who doesn’t give a shit about the rest of the team is unacceptable. Hope he gets over that.

I can't go that far when it comes to Pickens. Can you imagine being a WR in this offense? It has to be brutal for any one who's last name is not johnson. Don't think that he doesn't care about the rest of the team, just wants to feel like he is part of it. Using your logic, I guess Davante Adams is "a pouter as well who doesn't give a shit about the rest of the team".
Every team in the NFL would takes Adams in a second and I would bet that same thing applies to George Pickens.

Look at the picture of Pickens sitting on the bench with a towel over his head while his teammates congratulate Johnson. It says a lot. It’s one thing to be discouraged. Totally other thing to act like a child.
