My father recently passed and his Will names me the executor of his estate. My accountant has taken care of the majority of the paperwork regarding his finances. However, I need to be sworn in as the estate executor. I contacted an attorney and his fee is a % of the Estate. This seems to be a sizable sum. I believe all that is required is filing out a form with the county and paying a filing fee. Am I correct?
