OT: Los Angeles Chargers

I think they call it $$$.
The NFL operates with a salary cap, so that really won't work too well. You can't build a competitive team wildly overpaying for every FA.

I agree that neither Mexico City, nor the Euro franchises would be very appealing to the vast majority of NFLers and the franchises would struggle mightily because of it.

So the Chargers are going to spend two years in a 30K seat stadium. I am very surprised the NFL doesn't have rules about the minimum number of seats in a stadium, even for a temporary venue. I have doubts as to whether the Chargers even regularly fill such a small stadium.

Long ago, they did institute such a rule (I recall that being the reason the Chicago Bears shifted from Wrigley Field to Soldier Field--the league forced them to). I don't think that rule (50,000 minimum) was ever changed; they must be granting the Chargers a temporary waiver,.

If I was San Diego, I'd pitch the Raiders, hard.
Hasn't that ship sailed
Vegas baby Vegas

Oakland, LA and Vegas yes the Raiders fit that but SD, once famous for Seaworold and walks on the beach ...??? And a zoo

That's not a move the Raiders would make given most any move available to getting out of that septic tank they call home now ..

Obviously Raiders-to-San Diego would have been like Sheryl Crow going Goth.... Raiders-to-Vegas is a stray mutt ending up in a penthouse. Doesn't seem right. Oakland and the old stadium perfectly fit the Rayduhhhs.
