See last year's post about the rankings here: https://pittsburgh.forums.rivals.com/threads/ot-new-hospital-rankings-upmc-drops-to-14.115203/

*the cancer ranking is an example of how volatile the year-to-year rankings can be. UPMC cancer was down 12 spots the year before, so it is right back were it was two years ago.
^These specialties were not ranked, but listed as "high performing", except for gynecology for which there were no "high performing" designations. The listed raw score of the particular specialty in these cases would have effectively placed it in the rankings as noted.
UPMC also achieved High Performing status in all 9 evaluated procedures: Abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, aortic valve surgery, COPD, Colon cancer surgery, heart bypass surgery, heart failure, hip replacement, knee replacement, and lung cancer surgery. Knee replacement rose from average to "high performing".
