OT: NFL botched ending of DAL/DET

Imagine all the crap that coaches would try to pull to fool the opponent if the got rid of the rule about certain numbers being ineligible and it was left up to the defense to figure it out at the line of scrimmage for every play.
That would make it more FUN. Any time a team figures out some offbeat things like the tush push and makes it work, No Fun League wants to end it.

If your idea of fun is offenses scoring dozens of touchdowns a game, then yeah, I guess that would be good.

Of course if that's all you're looking for, just watch some 7 on 7 games.

Name another sport that changes rules because teams figure out something different that's successful? Only football changes and adds rules pretty much EVERY YEAR. Tush push is legal, are we seeing DOZENS OF TOUCHDOWNS PER GAME? and yeah, I like watching offense and scoring more than Iowa 7 Stillers 6- PUNT, PUNT, PUNT, GREAT DEFENSE, PUNT, PUNT, PUNT, GREAT DEFENSE. .

All of them?

Like did the NHL not change the game because teams that trapped the life out of the game became too successful? Did the NBA not change the game because bully ball was unattractive and fans didn't like watching it? Or move back the three point line multiple occasions because the shot was too easy? Is MLB not in the process if trying to change the game from pitchers throwing the ball as hard as they can all the time because it leads to lots of strikeouts which make the game less appealing to the fans?

Seriously, is there any sport at all, especially the team sports, that HASN'T made changes when something in the game becomes too successful?

Yes, that is all true, but they don't add and change rules literally every year, like the NFL
