Looks like Quentin Tarantino will write, but not direct a sequel to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood with Brad Pitt reprising his stuntman character.

No word on what Tarantino's 10th & final movie will be though. At this point, I'm thinking it would be fitting if it is the story of the making of Guns & Roses Chinese Democracy album.

I wanted to like the first one , just couldn't do it.
I loved it, except I'm not a fan of changing history. But he's done that before, most notably in Inglorious Bastards.

Might be my favorite Tarantino film after Reservoir Dogs.

Love all Tarantino stuff. That said i thought this was an April fools joke.

Funny that the Hollywood Reporter also thought it was. Their article says "Despite what the calendar says, this is not an April Fool's joke." So I'm pretty sure it is legit.

If I had a time machine, I guess it would be interesting to go to the Spahn Ranch back in the 60's and witness the madness.

True romance remains my favorite tarantino movie. i havent seen hateful eight...
Hateful Eight was good, but not one of my favorites.

The reason I liked Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Reservoir Dogs so much is because they had followable story lines and some character development. Moreso than most of his other movies.

I liked it a lot more after I saw it for a second time. I don't exactly know that it deserves a sequel, however.

How many movies has QT written but not directed? I know Natural Born Killers is one of them, and he was supposedly pretty unhappy with the finished product.

True Romance. Patty Arquette's character is actually referenced in Reservoir Dogs. He's done other stuff like that in the Tarantino cinematic universe. The most obvious one is that Vic "Mr Blonde" Vega and Travolta's Vince Vega are brothers. But there a couple of other things like that.

Regarding Natural Born Killers - I haven't watched it in years. I'm not sure how it holds up today. But at the time, I found it to be tremendous. But very different in the hands of Oliver Stone vs if Tarantino would've done it. Major breakout for Woody Harrelson. Allowed him to break free from being typecast as Woody Boyd from Cheers. Juliette Lewis was great in it as well. And Rodney Dangerfield was fantastic. I was surprised he was able to pull the darkness of his character off. Love him or hate him, Oliver Stone has a style and that style is very confrontational vs a richer yet more passive approach that Tarantino takes in his style. I may watch it again in the near future to see how it holds up.

White Men Can't Jump is Woody's breakout.

Regarding this news, it's exciting but would be much more exciting if QT was directing too. I still like Pulp and Jackie most of his movies kinda by a lot. Hollywood is my 3rd favorite.

Fincher with Tarantino is an odd fit. Would've preferred someone like Soderbergh. Compelling nonetheless.

White Men Can't Jump is Woody's breakout.

Sort of. Breakout as far as doing a different role, but not a breakout from comedy to drama (albeit with dark comic overtones). Natural Born Killers was far more of a breakout in range than White Men Can't Jump.

i remember seeing natural born killers in the movie theater, i was in high school. absolutely hated it, just didnt know what the heck i just watched..

The style, format or whatever you call it, i just wasnt ready for it. i went in just expecting a normal style movie. i've tried a few times again much later, years later and i kind of liked it better.. so it aged well i guess, or maybe i just didnt realize that all movies dont have to be in the exact same sequence or style/format..

Loved the movie. Was great, and can watch it anytime its on. At least pieces..... and this look just kills me.
