OT: Only one team has higher odds of landing Sanders.

You folks may as well get mentally prepared
Money in a small extension for Pickens soon
you'd imagine he would want at least 12-15m a year in his next contract. i cant imagine we want to pay our wrs that much so i'd be surprised if it happens.. maybe a franchise tag but do you really want this guy around for another 2 years?

but i've been wrong before. if it happens, it has to happen in the next few months before the season starts.

Metcalf got 30+. No way Pickens will be in the range you state. It’ll be considerably higher unless he self destructs. Which isn’t an impossibility.

Agreed. Bungles will be a case study in this in a sense. We'll see if paying 5% of the roster (3 offensive skill players) 33% of the money is a good idea or not.
i dont think metcalf and pickens are even in the same universe as Higgins and Chase.. Plus, they have a qb, one of the top qbs in the league, we have Mason Rudolph..

it COULD possibly make sense if your 3 players are elite, which the bengals are. Our "elite" players are metcalf, who didnt even have 1000 yards receiving last year and pickens who had 50 some catches for 900 yards. Neither of these guys are even on the top 30 of best WRs in the league..

You want to go all in on skill players then fine but make sure they are good if you are going to go that route..

My point was if the Bengals more or less repeat what they did last year, in what universe could the Steelers justify paying similar money to two inferior guys? And I wouldn't be shocked if the Bengals did have a similar or only marginal better year. They retained the same guys, they didn't really add anything.

Funny how Eli manning and John elway weren’t called entitled despite declaring who they wouldn’t play for .
Did you even read the article?

The alleged entitlement described had nothing to do with declaring who he wouldn't play for. But, I think you knew that.

They took a lot of criticism for that. Remember there was no social media back then. Today, wow the national media would have a field day ripping those two.
I remember Elway's first game in Pittsburgh. We were down behind Denver's bench and you'd have thought the guy wiped his a$$ with Myron Cope. They threw crap at him and taunted him the whole game.

Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t the Steelers make him look silly in that game?

Sanders is a reach at #21 and so is Dart, hopefully the Steelers don’t draft either of them that high. Teams seek that next franchise guy so desperately that they draft QB’s much higher than they should in years when there’s not a lot of high end talent at the position, like this year.

I wouldn’t mind taking a shot at Milroe in the 3rd round, but that’s not going to happen as he’s almost certain to be gone by then. A guy that was projected as a 3rd-4th rounder during the entire process is now probably going to be gone my the mid 2nd because teams panic so much about getting a qb. I would not be shocked to see the Browns take Milroe with the first pick of the 2nd round, which is just way too high for a guy that is somewhat of a project.

it's a moot point as I think this is classic smoke screen from Tomlin and they will draft DL in the first round regardless of any QBs that are out there.
Some of the mocks have them taking Derrick Harmon from Oregon, he's supposedly slipping in the draft due to "injury concerns", can see the Stillers picking him, he gets hurt after a few games and is out for the season.

Sanders to the Browns would be perfect. Prime and Legendary 🤣🤣 would hate ending up in Cleveland. It would be better if they picked him with the 2nd of their round 2 picks, just to make him feel even less wanted.

I'm sort of surprised that they haven't started crap talking on Cleveland to try to avoid that.
People have theorized that some of his bad interviews with teams were intentional so they wouldn’t draft him. If there was ever a team to intentionally tank an interview with, it would be the Cleveland Browns.
Maybe we can draft him with the 21st pick in the 3rd round.
