OT: Only one team has higher odds of landing Sanders.

Sanders throws too late. He was saved by a highly talented WR and playing against DBs that weren't very good. NFL DBs will eat him alive. That's why he slipped. Might even slip out of round 2.

Well, Mel Kiper said he's disgusted. Maybe Mel should become an NFL GM and then he can draft him.

What a tool. He should be forced to retire. He's become a lazy know nothing living off his past.

It's hilarious how bent these prognosticators are over a mediocre QB who's a headache waiting to happen.

He had an 80% completion rate when not running for his life
Give it up. “Legendary” is going to be drafted today by some team to compete to be their backup QB.
As a side note, it’s kind of funny that a 21 year old who hasn’t accomplished that much and wants to go by “Legendary” will be forever remembered for having a legendary drop in the draft.

Not giving up on anything .
Just stating a statistic.
Seems a no brainer to me now in the 4th.
Mason wont last a full season , and isn’t good .

I don’t think Rodgers wants to play for the Steelers
He’ll wait until a starter on a good team gets injured and swoop in

I would guess there's a 75% chance he signs here. If not, wait to see if the Giants cut Winston or swing a trade for someone else. They might even nab Howard or McCord today and just roll with that.

Maybe he can find a league where the defense has to count to “5 Mississippi” and daddy can coach.

That's a good start. Now just add a receiver who is much more talented than those attempting to defend him to the mix, so he can throw jump balls to him all day.

When he's not busy taking more sacks than... um, we'll go with a corn hole board.

Khan is playing the long game here. Lots of QB's will be available next year, and it won't be necessary to pick in the top 5 to get a good one. I wouldn't say they are tanking, but he clearly has more of a long term view than a short one.

Seriously...I hope Tomlin is on the phone trading some late round picks in next year's draft to get Shedeur now. The Steelers have like 6 supplemental picks next year and this is going to put the biggest chip in the world on Shedeur's shoulder to prove himself. What do the Steelers have to lose?

Yep, he’s not good enough for all the headaches he brings.
People can analyze it all day, but that’s the simple answer to why he’s still not drafted.
Countless players with baggage get drafted in the 1st two rounds. If you’re talented enough teams will take a chance on you.
The only thing that could be different about this situation is if he was a complete idiot in his interviews, and/or Prime has already said things to teams, and they basically are saying,
“I don’t care how good he is, it’s just not worth it.”

What in Mike Tomlin’s DNA makes you think that he can
A) develop this kid
B) keep him from being a complete jackass diva?
The fact he’s dealt with plenty of problem
Players better than other coaches .
As far as development , who cares?
He’s a cheap backup option.
To a former 3rd rounder who’s our starter - so either Mason developed or he didn’t .

Either way- would you rather have shadeur as a cheap backup or roll with Skyler?!?

Again- I’m just talking about value for a position for a team with plenty of issues and holes .
Qb depth is a hole - and now the price is right

I think if you are just looking at who will win you more games in 2025 the answer is Rodgers. However if the question is who is likely to be worth more over their whole time with the Stillers, I'd rather have Sanders too.

The ESPN hype machine was so all Shadeur all the time fans never got to hear about the legitimate concerns a lot of NFL people had about his game.

1) People have questioned his arm strength all the way back to his Jackson St days, a lot of throws he’s able to make in college just won’t work in the NFL.

2) He accumulated a lot of stats on bubble screens, as much as any QB I remember. He also had the benefit of having his father as head coach, some games it seemed as there was being a conscious effort made to build up his stats.

3) Many scouts have questioned Shadeur’s athletic ability in general. He’s basically zero threat to run the ball and isn’t very elusive in the pocket. People will blame his horrible OL at Colorado, but he wasnt able to run the ball at all at Jackson St either. Unless he’s playing behind a great OL he’s going to struggle mightily to avoid the rush.

I still thought he was a 2nd round type pick in a lousy year for QB’s, but add in the horrible interviews everyone says he had and you get this type of freefall.

I want no part of him in this draft, mainly for the reason that if they take him now it makes them less likely to draft a QB next season, which looks to be a much better year for QB’s with at least 3-4 guys worthy of going in the 1st round.

You are likely going to have neither.

I'm not thrilled with who they have, but of all the places in the NFL for Shedeur, Pittsburgh was the least likely place he was going to end up, for a lot of reasons. And the fact that the Browns ended up taking him proves he will not work out, because nobody ever works out for Cleveland.

Yeah that’s a bingo. At some point the law of averages should kick in though.

Sanders is a cheap lottery pick for the Browns. If somehow he works out they’ll look like geniuses. If not he’ll get cut before the season starts and they only wasted a fifth round pick. imo it looks like they are going to eat Watson’s contract like Denver did with Wilson. They have this year to figure out if one of the guys is the qb of the future and they are set up in next years draft to get that guy if needed

Well - Watson won’t play this season after his Achilles surgery.
And his deal is fully guaranteed so it’s $167mil in dead cap this year or $131mil his final year 2026 before he’s UFA but still counts as $50mil in dead cap in 2027.

An all time worst contract ever!

This is the guy that said Johnny Manzell was going to be bigger than LeBron. Good Lord. What a cuck

So every insider with information who posted or tweeted how the Steelers and Tomlin loved sanders, they were 10000% wrong they need to admit it.

That’s how it works right? They claimed to have this knowledge, they either lied or were used to leak wrong info. So they should publicly admit this and admit they know nothing and apologize.

Folks should be smart enough by now to understand there are no such things as insiders .
They all just repeat the same talking points.
At least any local reporter. They are all lazy
