OT: PIAA Tournament - How unfortunate...

Remember it was the Great SMF who said they should move the baseball season to the summer like some other states ALWAYS do so that the basketball kids can play a real season....and without masks (although the majority of PIAA teams disobeyed the PA Mask Order).
There was absolutely no reason that PIAA baseball needed to start in early March when the weather sucks anyway. I know, I know the poor kids play Travel Ball in the summer, oh know, how could they POSSIBLY do both? Except they did last summer when an unofficial WPIAL HS League played all summer.

Unfortunate but it saved them an ass whoopin. Trust me, Berlin is very, very, very good. They were on their way last year when Covid shut everything down. They had just beat the WPIAL champ in the second round by double digits. All their kids are back. They played several big schools early in the season, including Caneven, and their only loss was to Norwin by 5.
At what point does SMF start accusing Berlin Brothers Valley of paying players? Isn’t one of his greatest schticks is assuming that good players would never appear in unlikely places unless players are getting paid
Basketball season took place during basketball season. Baseball season will take place in baseball season.

Winter ends in about seven hours from now. The first games of the baseball season this year are seven days away.
You know we are talking about baseball, right? Running? These kids run maybe the equivalent of 1-2 minutes of a soccer or basketball game
Correct, but in that game Bishop Canevin had two starters (very good players) who were ineligible to play in this game because of the transfer rule.
