Great new format. Flag football and skills competition . Do they go to Dairy Queen after?
Remember when Robert Edwards blew out his knee playing flag football at a pro bowl like 25 years ago?Great new format. Flag football and skills competition . Do they go to Dairy Queen after?
i think the NFL is getting this right. The only thing interesting about the NHL and NBA all-star games are the skills competitions. Much better than the games themselves. Even baseball is getting that way too. I'd like to see the NFL do something like the old ABC Sports Superstars series. And while I'm on the subject, they need to bring back Battle of the Network stars.Question: when was the last time you actually watched the Pro Bowl? All Star games are typically some of the worst demonstration of the sport by those who play it best. That goes for NBA and NHL as well. The MLB All Star game is the only all star game that is even close to enjoyable to watch.
Everyday, regular people doing their usual activities of daily living get hurt and spme of them "blow out their knees". It is called LIFE. If these NFL players are worried about injury, then they shouldn't go to the Pro Bowl. It really is that simple.Remember when Robert Edwards blew out his knee playing flag football at a pro bowl like 25 years ago?
dont even get me started with battle of the network stars. such incredible memories. i could talk about this forever..i think the NFL is getting this right. Who honestly cares about the quality of actual football at the Pro Bowl? It's existence has long been an excuse for marketing departments to take customers to Hawaii before it moved to Orlando for some awful reason.
You beat me to this post by 2 minutes. I still remember Nelly intercepting Marino 1-handed.I don't think they should bother with the pro bowl at all. But I guess my preferred format would be bringing back the Rock n Jock B Ball Jam with the 50 point shots and mix up some teams with NFL guys and actors and other celebrities.
The NHL All Star Game is the best one, the 3 on 3 tournament between the 4 divisions is a great format. High scoring, kind of like real hockey and nobody will get hurt. It's the only All-Star game I've watched in recent years.if you want a real laugh, look up what the nhl is doing.
i actually think they are breaking out a Dunk tank this year, not even kidding..
i loved some of those late 80s and early 90s NBA all star games. but i liked the NBA back then. The NHL All Star Game is the best one, the 3 on 3 tournament between the 4 divisions is a great format. Or else because Aloha Stadium is being rebuilt or something and the U of Hawaii place only seats 3000 fans. The reason being the Disney organization
When Tyler Huntley makes the pro bowl it's officially jumped the shark. 2 tds
because most qbs opted out and they are already like 3 or 4 deep into the alternatives. Didnt Derrick Carr just get invited? Dude wasnt even a starter for the raiders in the last few games, he was the backup and he's technically a pro bowl QB now..Why does he get called before KP? Or Mac Jones? Granted none of them belong in the game but why Huntley?
Because he beat them in the original vote. Huntley was 7thWhy does he get called before KP? Or Mac Jones? Granted none of them belong in the game but why Huntley?
Me too, but I was actually an NBA fan back then, from the 70s to the end of the Jordan Era I was a Bulls fan, I can name the Bulls 70s starting lineup still, I think I just liked the logo, then the Jordan era came along and for about a dozen years I was really into NBA, but they played different then, more like college and less just shooting 3s and no defense or travelling like now, and the All Star games weren't like LeBron vs. Durant pick-up games, it was East vs. West, and the good players wanted to win for their conference believe it or not, bragging rights, like Bird, Jordan, Detroit Bad Boyz, vs. Olajuwon, Drexler, Show Time Lakers etc. they played pretty seriously.i loved some of those late 80s and early 90s NBA all star games. but i liked the NBA back then.
I mean he's most famous for a blown qb sneak 2 yards out although it's more on the play caller than him.If you're Tyler Huntley, do you go to this? Wouldn't it be kind of embarrassing?
Hell yeah! Who cares about "deserving it", LOLIf you're Tyler Huntley, do you go to this? Wouldn't it be kind of embarrassing?
Incredible mammaries or memories? (hope I don't get banned for that)dont even get me started with battle of the network stars. such incredible memories. i could talk about this forever..
It was called "I challenge you".Does anyone else remember when Franco was closing in on Jim Brown’s record (at the time) for rushing yards? Brown was not taking it graciously and actually talked about coming out of retirement to extend the record. He challenged Franco to some kind of decathlon or something and they showed it during the playoffs I think.
Because he beat them in the original vote. Huntley was 7th
edit: isn't Mac Jones going to the Pro Bowl also?
Didn't Brown at that time threaten to come back and play? I remember him having his picture taken in a Raiders uniform maybe? It was called "I challenge you".
