Usually, you couldn't pay me to watch another NFL game once my team has been eliminated, but I was feeling especially masochistic yesterday. Anyway, what an unbelievable finish. If I was the Vikings, I would have tried to get about 12 yards and kick a long field goal. I couldn't believe Keenum - whose throwing motion seems to emulate a t-rex heaving a shot put - launched it that far downfield (seemed like a much lower completion percentage and a much higher chance of getting tackled inbounds). Then, I couldn't believe the receiver didn't lateral it back to a player who had a better chance of getting out of bounds. I mean, he had no control of his fate while in the air and should have fallen hopelessly to the ground. Most of all, however, I couldn't believe a defender could whiff that badly. I'm sure that will haunt him for a long time, as there are a countless number of different approaches he could have taken. Anyway... wow, what a finish. I guess sometimes you need a little magic on your side - a la Pitt vs Clemson last season.
