OT:steelers/Ravens

Most comebacks by NFL quarterbacks in HISTORY.
Note the # of game winning drives. Yeah, he's over rated.
#2 active QB in game winning drives behind Brady.
Shaded players are active. Taken from NFL stats 2014, I think he's had at least one more
game winning drive since - on Sunday.

Pro Football Reference has him down for 29 Fourth Quarter Comebacks and 39 Game Winning Drives. That puts him behind only Brady, Elway, Manning, and Marino in NFL history.

Did you watch the fourth quarter? To completely discount the role Ben played in the comeback is simply being stubborn for the sake of being stubborn. The guy threw something like 1 incompletion (not counting spikes)? Give the guy some credit.

No one is arguing that his poor play in part created the deficit, but he also overcame himself at the end. The other QBs In the NFL who would have come back and won that game can be counted on less than one hand. They all play sh*tty from time to time as well for 3 quarters or even a few games.

Seriously, who besides Brady and Rogers are decidedly better than Ben?

What makes you put Rodgers above Ben? Because he plays in a wide open pass happy offense?

Their career winning % is pretty much the same, Ben has a MUCH higher PLAYOFF winning %. Their completion % is almost the same in career and playoffs. Ben has 4 game winning drives in the playoffs vs Rodgers' 1. Rodgers throws for an extra 20 yards a game in career and playoffs. Rodgers throws on average about 1 more td and 1 less pic per game in both. Ben has 2 rings, Rodgers has 1. If Mendenha doesn't fumble, you're looking at a 3-0 win for Ben in rings.

Are we talking about fantasy stats here, or are we talking about rings? About who we want with the ball in their hands when you need 7 raise a trophy? The gap between Brady and everybody else is BIG....but Ben is right there next to Rodgers in my eyes.

I mentioned it earlier in the thread, but nowhere have I seen mentioned that Weddle was jerking on Brown's facemask the entire time he was fighting for the end zone. Somehow the ref standing right there missed it.
I guess that's legal now since it was also done twice against Cincy and also Dez Bryant did it last night also as a receiver.. no call !! What a joke..

I said that while watching the game. Even if the ref is thinking "well, he scored a touchdown anyway so it doesn't matter if I throw the flag or not" that doesn't wash because there is no way that the ref could know for certain that the play wouldn't get overturned by replay or if there was a flag thrown by another official somewhere else on the field.

That Brown missed face mask was literally right in front of an official. I couldn't even believe that it wasn't flagged. He does his own share of interfering really sneakily himself but there was 3 calls that should've been nailed down on. I guess Ben will never get a "hands to the head" call like most Qb's do either.

I agree. I think Rodgers sometimes gets the nod because of the season he had a few years ago. His accuracy was simply amazing the entire season. And for that year he was every bit as good as Brady. But his overall body of work isn't such that he's definitely better than Ben. Ben hardly runs any more so Rodgers has an advantage there but that's about it.
