OT: the Bengals extend Marvin Lewis

I know he is local......I met him years ago.... great guy......

But how can u justify bringing him back...with plenty of solid candidates out there?

The (basically) family owned requirement they put in the NFL to stop more another publicaly owned team like the Packers has meant you have a lot of family owners who are either dumb, cheap, or both. And those teams almost never compete.

I think they've been trying to be the Steelers with this never change coaches thing. Lewis has 5-6 ten win seasons and AFC North titles and some good talent, but always failed in the playoffs. He's made the playoffs 7 of 15 seasons.

5 playoff wins in what, almost 50 years of existence?
And I'd have to double check, but 4 of those came during their 2 Super Bowl runs. Which means for about the other 30 years, they've won 1 playoff game. Think about it.
