I actually saw Harry and the Hendersons and Fletch 2: Fletch Lives, in the movie theater.. I was young for both so I can blame youth on it, sadly my #1, I can't blame youth and to add to it, I actually saw it by myself.. Went to a movie by myself to see it.. It was a matinee so that's one positive out of the whole experience. The movie was The Replacements.. unreal

Gonna get blasted for this, but Sin City.

Only theater I've ever walked out of (though I was trying to get fresh with a girl who also wanted to walk out).

Pirates of the Caribbean 3...more effective than water boarding if used for interrogation purposes...

The remake of "The Day the Earth Stood Still". Halfway through the movie I stood up in the crowded theater and screamed an apology to my friends for suggesting it.

Was on a date and went to watch one of those jack Nicholson Diane Keeton romantic comedies. Left the theater

Howard the Duck on a date as a teen... no kidding. I mean, come on -- a talking duck, comedy gold, right?
I have this thing for Leah Thompson and I remember she was in underwear and I thought this would be awesome if there wasn't a duck in the scene..

The original Final Destination is the worst film I have ever seen in person.

I cannot remember why we went to see that film in the first place but it was just so goddamn dumb right from the jump that it was just pissing me off that I was wasting my time there. I was already embarrassed that they had taken my money and I was damned if they were going to steal my time as well.

I went with a big group and I left about midway through it and played video games in the lobby until they all came out to ask me what happened. They thought I had fallen ill and was in the restroom. Nope, I was in the lobby trying to find some semblance of entertainment because there was none to be had in that theater.

My friends still tease me about that night and I can laugh about it now. However, on that night I was not laughing. That movie was written for dumb people and I was losing IQ points with every passing scene.

Surf Ninjas was probably the actual worst.

Darkness Falls was pretty bad too. Still kicking myself for not Crow and Servoing during that one.

Grifters....even with the Benning nude scene...just horrible.

Super Hero Movie. One of those crappy parody movies that come up every now and then. The wife and I hadn't had a date in forever after #2 was born and this was about the only thing on that looked interesting at the time.

Without question Zelig. I was in college and the movie was pointless and extremely slow. I laughed once. Maybe.

The Crying Game.

It was a date that went bad. The minute the woman in the bedroom scene had a penis and they showed it, my girlfriend of mine at the time and I looked at each other and got up and left.

I think it's the only time I ever walked out of a theater.

The original "point break" was it. Actually thought the Crying Game was a very good movie.

Wife and I watched the Texas Chair Saw Massacre.
It was a terrible production!
I remember my wife saying it was a movie we had to see at least once.
After seeing the movie she asked me why did we go see that movie??
I replied it was my idea honey!
She replied that's what I thought??

I remember seeing that movie with my girlfriend (at that time) who was very Irish Catholic as was her family. I can remember going home and her mom asking us how was the movie, because she wanted to see it being of course, Irish Catholic. I was stammering for words on how to dissuade her from going to see it. That being said, it was one of those movies where you only really need to see once, can see once, but....it was a pretty good movie.

It was up for best picture so surely many people thought it was good. But it didn't appeal to us...we were in college at the time. So whatever qualities the movie had was lost on us after we saw that scene.

I find a lot of these movies listed enjoyable on some level. Maybe not quality or good, but Blair Witch for example is a must watch because the unintentional comedy is off the charts.

Second for Howard the Duck. But I did rip victory from the jaws of defeat... Left early and snuck into the theater next to it that was showing the Friday the 13th that had Dudley from Diff'rent Strokes...

I second the Blair Witch Project. Although, there have been many others.

When I was a little kid my grandmother took me to see Joe Versus the Volcano and we both hated it. Occasionally she'll still bring it up, just as a goofy memory - remember when I took you to that terrible movie and it was so bad we almost left, haha.

Well, a couple years ago I rewatched it for the first time, and I actually kind of liked it...but I won't tell her that, I feel it would diminish the memory for her.

Now on bad days I tell my wife I have a brain cloud.

Cool cast. Tom Hanks, Meg Ryan, Abe Vigoda, Robert Stack, Carol Kane, Loyd Bridges.

Also the Transformers animated movie from the 80's, Optimus dies...with a bunch of other Transformers, and I'm freaking out in the theater. I look at my Dad for some reassurance, and dudes out cold snoring it up.

I have the winner on this thread, hands down.

I'll admit it.

I saw Howard the Duck in a movie theatre.

There needs to be a filter on the OP. There really are 2 classes of movies - those that are taken seriously and those that aren't.

For example, the WORST movie I have ever seen in a movie theater is any of the Pokemon movies. I mean bad, I can't even sit in my seat with my little children next to me bad. I literally was driven mad bad. But I never had any false hopes it would be any good. I mean did anyone expect "From Justin to Kelly" would actually be any good?

Then there are the movies that should be good, but are just horrible. One that comes to mind is "The Tree of Life". WTF? I literally busted up laughing in the theater. We left waaaaay before the credits. Or "The Happening" with Mark Wahlberg. But the worst for me by far was "Buried" with Ryan Reynolds. It's not that the movie was bad per se, but the ending pissed me off so much I could have punched someone. I have never been so mad or felt so ripped off by any movie as I did by this film.

When I was in high school I took a girl I was dating to see a night in the life of Jimmy Reardon. I honestly remember nothing but the title because it was so bad I fell asleep.

Only time in my life I've ever fallen asleep in a theatre.

Unbroken.
The movie should have been titled "Uninterrupted Torture". Even a documentary would not show that amount of evil.
Hitler probably would have enjoyed the movie. He liked watching people get hung on piano wire.
My date walked out....couldn't believe I took her to see Torture. Have to say she was right.

"Uninterrupted Torture" is about listening to the Nitters complain about how the sanctions hurt Nitter football. Or is it something else?????
