OT: worst movie you paid money to see in a theatre:

Pret-a-Porte. I love Robert Altman and he was on a bit of a roll with The Player and Short Cuts, so I just had to see Pret-a-Porter. I figured that even though the subject matter didn't interest me (the fashion industry), a Robert Altman movie with that incredible cast would be great. I was very wrong. So wrong that even the gratuitous nudity didn't make up for the total sh*tbomb that the movie was. :) After that, my wife stopped letting me pick movies that she had never heard of for a couple of years. Fortunately I regained her trust when I selected an under the radar (at the time) movie starring a pretty much unknown Billy Bob Thorton. I still count Slingblade as one of my favorite movies.

Land of the Dead. I am a big Romero fan but that was not a good movie, at all. I saw it on TV again last week and was reminded of just how bad it was.

Saw a bunch of bad movies as a kid, as I'm sure we all did. Problem Child 2 would probably be at the top of the list. Leonard Part 6 is the absolute worst but I saw that on VHS (was it even ever in theaters)?

was one of the worst POS movies i've ever seen. I was literally angry when i left because i wasted 2 hours of my life.

I paid money to see "dude where's my car". Somebody top that!

A close second is the piece of $hit planet of the apes remake Marky Mark did. That was also atrocious.

Definitely turned off a lot of rented movies at home. Only one I can remember getting up and walking out of at the theatre was one of the Smokey and the Bandits sequels. Now that was a long time ago.......

From dusk to dawn George Clooney started out ok and out of nowhere it had all these zombies

Saw BlairWitch on video at home. Fell asleep halfway through and wasn't sorry.

Worst film I've paid to see at a theatre, at least in recent memory, was the recent Mad Max movie. I prefer movies to have a plot..I'm picky that way.

If we are going by crap seen at home, that enters a whole new level of crap.

This movie was so bad..I refused to pay money for it, so I used bit-torrent. Wife hounded me, wanted to see it bad (only reason i went through the trouble).

This was the worst piece of shite EVER ...

An over 2 hour snuff film ...The Passion of the Christ

Passion of the Christ was a snuff film?? What??

"Stardust Memories", the last Woody Allen film I ever saw. It's about a guy who makes funny movies that everyone loves, but he wants to make high art, and aren't people a-holes who like his funny movies and want him to keep making them. Allen claims it wasn't about him, and shouldn't have been interpreted that way. Riiiiiiiggghhht.

I actually saw Harry and the Hendersons and Fletch 2: Fletch Lives, in the movie theater.. I was young for both so I can blame youth on it, sadly my #1, I can't blame youth and to add to it, I actually saw it by myself.. Went to a movie by myself to see it.. It was a matinee so that's one positive out of the whole experience. The movie was The Replacements.. unreal
Lorenzo's oil, and it was a first date. There was no second date.

Man, you lost me. What the the heck is snuff film?
Snuff films are movies where an actual murder is recorded. The "Passion of Christ" is NOT a snuff film, unless unbeknownst to everyone Jim Caviezel was actually murdered during the film.

The Hobbit. I miscalculated badly and knew it after just 5 minutes, per the corny soundtrack and goofy character roles played. I thought it was going to be along the lines of "Lord of the Rings", but it was a goofy movie played by goofy characters. I was in denial for 10 min or so. After 15 minutes it became clear it was a lemon and started thinking of my move. Stay or leave.

At 20 minutes, I'm irritated and the decision is an easy one. Gone. Wife and son weren't too happy, but I had the keys. I told them I'll make it up to them later somehow, but I'm not sitting through this thing.

Godfather III is the movie that was most disappointing to me. I've watched Godfather's I and II 2 times a year for over 20 years so, suffice to say, big shoes needed to be filled and they weren't.

Revenge of the Nerds 2: Nerds in Paradise.

I went to see it with a date in college - so, so painfully bad. Just checked it's Rotten Tomatoes score - 8% (all critics) and 0% (top critics).

that's a tough one.. that movie is bad, definitely should be considered a candidate for one of the worst sequels circa 80's movies.. Teenwolf 2, Caddyshack 2, revenge of the nerds 2, Karate Kid 2,

The Three Amigos and Dumb and Dumber 2 were equally terrible.
Damn, I liked the Three amigos.. Dumb and Dumber?? That's a classic.. Come on Vinnie, those two are hilarious. I mean you have to go into it expecting juvenile humor, not gonna come out being moved by these but still, pretty funny IMO..

The Revenant sure sucked. Can't believe I paid good money for and sat through that whole thing. Also, I took my kid to "The Santa Clause 3." That might be the worst movie of all time. "Striptease" was pretty awful too.

That would explain his more recent performances.

I am a big fan of his but he has disappeared.. Think I saw him in some tv shows.. Loved him in Frequency and Count of Monte Cristo, also played a sick pup in Deja Vu.. 3 movies that were under the radar that I always watch when on.. Has be been in any movies lately? I watched the one where he was the high school coach for the winning team in California.. Ok movie, basically same movie that's been done a million times before but entertaining if nothing else is on.

I saw The Gods must be crazy 2 in the theater. I believe my friend and I were the only people watching it.
