acvording to a tweet by Coach Narduzzi, Pitt has already sold over 3,000 tickets for the bowl game. Seems like the location does matter for Pitt fans since this is a very driveable game.

Ranked opponent located in an area saturated with Pitt alums that historically fills this stadium. Kind of a no-brainer. Pitt's gonna kick this team's ass too.

3,000 is an okay start, but with the bowl being so close to Pittsburgh, there's no reason why we shouldn't sell out our allotment of tickets.

Still not a good enough reason for Barnes/Pitt for opting for this game...

Our allotment is 7,333. So we sold 40% of it in 24 hours. That's pretty good. It will all get sold as people start making their plans over the next few days.

That's already more people than we sent to Fort Worth last year.

What part of the ACC bowl partners have unilateral power of choice in who they invite to play in their game don't you get? Barnes and Pitt had NO SAY IN WHAT BOWL THEY WERE INVITED TO ATTEND. Why is this so complicated to understand? Pitt is going to the Military Bowl because it is the one that offered them to play there. End of story. Hail to Pitt!

So this is where the stupid urban legend is going to start that we somehow "opted" for this game.

We're screwed ...

How could somebody take this good thread (by the OP) that we sold a ton of tickets (in actually 20 hours) negatively? JHC..... we will sell the allotment.. and by one week from now.

finalizing arrangements and going with a crew of 4-6 people.
We've gone to nearby road games (akron, vtech, uva, cuse) for the past couple of years and looking forward to running into some of the other regular road-warriors in annapolis.

Went to Annapolis last time we played there and loved everything about it. My then 4 year old boy had his photo taken with the Navy Goat (human in suit). Great time!

Let's leave no doubt in the bowl promoters mind, and make a difference by showing support for the team in record numbers. Let's shoot for 15k.

Pitt doesn't get 15k in our allotment.... we'd have to buy them from Navy season ticket holders willing to give them up.

Getting plans together but got 8 for sure and probably two more. Waiting to hear tomorrow morning before buy tickets but 8 more for sure!!!
George Aston Fan Club on the way!!!!

Low on prescription meds?

Funny thing about the internet is that people say things they would never say in person. That's what makes it different... like yelling out your car window at someone you normally wouldn't step to. Enjoy your insulation...

The low on prescription meds comment was directed at the people you were referring to in your post not you. Some of you insecure personality types on the board quickly become defensive when someone replies to their posts.
But that doesn't matter the rest of my reply stands.

I'm as up front in person ( maybe even more) as on the internet. I don't type well or fast but I love face to face interactions lots of fun! I do a lot of public speaking for business, my hobby (politics) and pleasure. People today don't express themselves like the used to maybe we'll get back to more face to face "conversation." But I doubt it! My moto is say what you're thinking!
When I'm making a presentation and I see someone for example rolling their eyes I'll stop point to them and ask them what they're thinking. Invite some controversy into life its good but only use nice words!
Fyi did you send the same message to Mr Crazy Paco whose messages were so out of bounds it wasn't funny. I bet no! Be consistent righteous one!
