word is they are slow playing the search until he becomes available. Chambers has done as much as he can at a school like that and wants to make the next step in his career moving up to a bigger D1 program.

Next year, maybe. Right now, makes no sense for him to voluntarily leave psu.

This is getting really absurd. Pat Chambers, from what I was reading and hearing was/is in a similar situation as Stallings. Penn St may be looking to move on. Why would Pitt be interested in him?

Pat chambers would be awesome at Pitt. Coached with Jay Wright and has ties to Philly. I just don’t see him leaving PSU before making tourney or getting fired for not making it

Agree - he'd make a great assistant.

As a first assistant?

Yes absolutely bring him in...he can recruit pretty well.

Head coach? His actual coaching & development of his players has been below average.

Sadly, unless fired (& it would still be a long shot), he wouldn’t want an assistants position.

Anyway, after making the NIT Final Four now in MSG, no way they fire him this year.

Chambers might be a good recruiter but he is a horrible game coach and his players lack discipline to win late game situations.
