Get what you are trying to say, but Pitt fans have suffered for over 3 decades of this garbage. Honestly last 2 games reminded me of the Chryst and House era and that troubles me.

Narduzzi did a good job with what he inherited, you can't win the Kentucky Derby with a plow horse, starting next year he will start filtering in his own players with speed, we saw a difference this past year, just think a couple of years from now

I don't know about next year. By year 3 we should have a very strong idea of just how good a coach Narduzzi is.

I was there for each and everyday of those thirty years, the difference right now is the alignment of the Head Coach (who chose Pitt) and Administration that clearly wants to bring the program back to a top 20 program. Now, IMO, Pitt is a world class University, those of you that graduated from there can take great pride in it, I was also around four decades ago, and I gotta tell you it is a very exciting place when Pitt football resurrects its very long and rich tradition. Stay the course!

Hail to Pitt

Plus and a big plus-Pitt does not keep coaches for 25 years like some teams do.

Right on, but you are basically talking to the dozen posters that only come on after loses.

Yep depressing results, but overall good season and plenty of positives and not many negatives moving forward.

Need to get Conner cancer free and on the field!

no one on the college football earth does that today....if patience means enduring 6 years and a 24-40-2 record then screw patience because 4 and 5 star recruits do no have such a virtue....

What on earth are you talking about? 6 years and a 24-40 record??? we were 8-4 this regular season.

the comparison (to be good Pitt fans and wait on the Messiah while wandering in the 4 to 8 win desert for thirty years) to the "patience" shown for Frank Beamer with his first six year records listed in the post above.....

I think it is clear we wont have anything of the sort for Narduzzi, he is demanding excellence. Not sure what Beamer walked into, but CLEARLY he did it the right way. We should have 24 wins after 3 years, which is still damn good for Pitt right?

People really need to stop chirping about the last 30 years. Literally no one involved from the Chancellor, to the A.D., to the Head Coach was here for any of that. Since Gallagher took over, he gave the heave-ho to Pederson, made what appears to be a good hire in a head coach who DID do a great deal to change the culture and found a way to win some games in year one, and hired an A.D. who appears to be the polar opposite of his successor.

I'm not a patient person by nature, but at some point you have to realize that only three players that were part of the 2011 recruiting class played yesterday. Five guys from the next class played yesterday.

My point? This is not a veteran team. It's a team made up of spare parts and band-aids in many ways. People aren't going to want to hear this after we had to listen to everyone say "Wanny needs more time" for five years but it's true in this case.

The best teams on Pitt's schedule this year showed that there is a lack of talent on this team overall. Not fast enough, maybe in some cases not big enough, and in some cases just flat out not good enough.

Next year may look a whole lot like this year too. The good news is that the guy that hired the head coach and the guy who "oversees" him seem pretty committed to stability at this point. The bad news is that this could take a few more years to be at the level you need to in order to play with and actually defeat teams like Baylor or Clemson or FSU.

Ah, my fault, I didnt do the math :)
