Exhibit A:
Screen-Shot-2016-01-02-at-12.58.10-PM-320x190.png

Taken right before kickoff. Notice the upper deck is completely empty. The stadium holds 67K. The upper deck is about 25K.

Also notice that almost everybody in the stadium is wearing red.

Exhibit B:
tax-slayer-bowl.jpg

Coin flip. Very sparse in the endzone.... and what is there is almost all red.

Exhibit C:

Another angle during the game. Almost all red.

Ok.... well maybe all those pictures were of Georgia's side of the field. I'm sure PSU's side was completely full all the way up, right?
image.jpg

Nope. Right before kickoff again. Upper deck on PSU's side completely empty as well.

So.... they claim the attendance was 58k in a 67k stadium. But both upperdecks were empty, meaning at least 25k seats were empty.

Military bowl had 38k in a 34k stadium..... with 15k+ being Pitt fans. TaxSlayer bowl had no more than 42-43k in a 67k stadium.... with <10k being PSU fans.

And another picture of all the PSU fans wearing red and black today to honor their opponent:

For comparison sake, here's my personal pics from the Military Bowl:

Notice how the stadium is completely full.... even the SRO section in the endzone to the right.

ps. First pick is of the "Pierogi vs Presidents" race... second pick is from national anthem.

Nice try, but showing pictures of Georgia's side of the field doesn't prove anything other than Penn State was able to bring as many fans to the game as Georgia even though they are located 8X farther away. I'm actually sitting in my hotel room in Jacksonville and I can tell you both teams had just about the same number of fans.

Showed pictures from many angles. And in all of them, the upper decks were empty on both sides.

Look at the picture of Dale sitting in the NASCAR car. Upper deck on PSU's side was empty too.

Too bad none of the angles you showed were of the PSU side. Upper decks were pretty empty on both sides, but attendance was about 50 / 50.

Are we supposed to believe people like you who have a history of believing what they want to believe instead of facts so you can go on living? It's very hard to believe a group of people who have told and believed total lies for the majority of their lives.

Come on Ron Cook, pictures don't lie. 8x farther away,LoL, ups fans must have been sitting in the No Tell Motel in Toad Suck, Arkansas for they certainly were not in Jacksonville , Florida.

58,212 official attendance- 87% of stadium capacity. Nice try with your guess of 39,000 though. You only missed it by about 20,000. Maybe that explains the inflated numbers for the Pitt home game attendance.

Are you claiming that the upper deck on both sides adds up to only 13% of the stadium? Because the upper deck on both sides was nearly 100% empty.

Whatever percentage of the stadium is comprised of the upper deck, that percentage....at least.... was empty.

58,212 is a lie. By at LEAST 10,000.

So the upper decks were empty, but 58k were there. LOL - makes sense

Penn State fans sounded loud on TV, I'll give them that. The fans there were supportive it seemed.
But there did not appear to be anywhere near half PSU fans, not even close.

You are either dumb or blind. Did you see the game? Pathetic with 600k alumni and the prestigious world campus

He is saying that the stadium was 50-50? Must be color blind. Psu alt unis red?

I don't know why we make fun of fans from other teams for attendance if for many of our home games this year our stadium was less full than the pictures you provided? Peak commented on it on almost every podcast regarding the dismal attendance 10 miles from our homes

Because:

A. To show their hypocrisy when criticizing Pitt's attendance. PSU uses Pitt's attendance to negatively recruit against us..... when their own attendance is nowhere near what they claim it is.

B. To point out the idiocy of "107K Strong".... when they repeatedly had 20k empty seats at home games this year.

Pitt needs to improve our attendance. But when our neighbors to the south make jokes about our attendance and then have 25k empty seats at their season finale, they need called out on it. When our neighbors to the east make jokes about Pitt fans not going to bowls, and then more Pitt fans go to our bowl than their fans went to their bowl, they need called out on it.

It's about nitter and hoopie hypocrisy. Which you would understand, if you weren't a nitter yourself.

I saw posts on Audibles in the last few days from the Nitters that they were going to own the stadium due to the massive amount of fans they were bringing to the game. But then I also saw posts saying that ticket prices would be $10 or below by game time. You'd think a fanbase who cares more about attendance than anything else would have brought more fans to the game.

Sadly I now pay attention to this attendance crap because it seems to be a major reason for many to denigrate my alma mater. I havent attended a Pitt game in over a decade, mainly because I live 2500 miles away and for most of that time worked a job where you weren't allowed to take a vacation during football season.

From everything I've seen and read PSU didn't draw flies to this bowl game. For a school with such "Draconian" sanctions placed against it you would think that they would want to send a big FU to the NCAA by packing the place against a top flight opponent.

The longer I've lived away from Pennsylvania the more I have come to realize that no one nationally gives a crap about them since the day Paterno died.

Can't have it both ways. The PSU support was below what normally is the case. PSU didn't show up this year at home or the bowl. The bloom is off the rose here. PSU will not be the same support program going forward. Older fans are not going anymore and that was the backbone of the paterno crowd. Plus the program is simply not going to be very good under Franklin. His statement is this is the first year of his program. Really Jimmy?

Whatever the attendance was... it was 90% Georgia red. And the entire upper deck was completely empty on both sides. I have no doubt they handed out 58000 tickets.... but that means there was tons of noshows...... and the main point is that everybody there was a Georgia fan.

Nitters showed up in very small numbers.

FWIW, the difference in stadium capacity comes from the fact that the Jaguars tarp many upper level sections to reduce the capacity and make it more likely that they sell out and don't have to black out the game on local television. So there are actually somewhere around 77,000 seats but the Jags only sell around 65,000 of them.

I was there today. Take my comments FWIW (some of you won't believe them anyway), but I'd say the upper-deck was 25% full and the crowd was 60-40 UGA.

30K UGA, 19,999 PSU. And 1 Pittsburgh fan, I think I annoyed him when he came up to me and asked "so, how about our game coming up in 8 months???" and I responded "that's 8 months away, I'll think about it in 8 months. Just thinking about today's game today."

Stadium capacity is 77K, not the 65K that some people are sourcing.

On a side-note: after being out-and-about all day today and this evening, I can say that Jacksonville is not a very attractive city. Why did the NFL put a team here?????

Count me as surprised there were 20k PSU fans there. If so they were very quiet and the TV views made it seem smaller.

Agree on Jacksonville. No idea why they had a Super Bowl there.

I saw much more Red than Blue in the stands. But my point is the game was a nothing game. One program is in transition with a new staff, the other is in it's 26th game and still has not improved a lick. Franklin had a healthy team and no question take away two very good catches and the team looked unable to grasp that GA was vulnerable. I am sure Franklin will run his so called offense next year with a mobile QB. He will need to be with that OL.

You have to give Franklin some time to get his players in there. Right now they are woefully short on talent.

Check out the recruiting rankings of UGA & PSU the last few years.

UGA's worst recruiting class is ranked higher than PSU's best. The Nits are never going to build a program that way. Getting more talent is Franklin's number one job right now.
