Pine richland qb stuck

We were among the "first 20" to recruit him. Just never advanced with him.

must have been lack of info in article I read. Thanks for the info

Well I always say, and this especially pertains to highly ranked QB's, and I used Georgia especially as an example, but we have seen it at Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State......

I know kids grow up to be fans of these schools, and they can offer alot. But there is only one QB1. And only one of them. Let's take Georgia specifically. They recruited Jacob Eason, Jake Fromm and Justin Fields in 2 years. All 5 stars. Why would all 3 sign with UGa is beyond me, knowing during their college year, only 1 is going to get the bulk of the snaps because they were all so close in class eligibility. It is different if you are say a 5 star FR and sign with Clemson this year, knowing next year Lawrence is going to be a JR then likely off to the NFL. But why would go to a place who already has kids ranked as highly, or higher than you?

It needs to be a business decision. If you are looking to go to the NFL, you need to go where you will have the best chance to play, on obviously a reasonably successful program who fits your style.
Exactly! A kid is better off starting immediately for a decent team, putting up good numbers, and then moving onto the NFL after 3 years. Rather than riding the pine at a big-name school for 2 or 3 years, and then having to fend off the newest hot shot each year.

That’s provided that there is a stable system there for him to develop in. Usually, you don’t have one without the other. Narduzzi is on his 4th OC in 5 years. No chance at getting elite offensive talent like that to play for Pitt. That may change with Whipple if he stays.

Good point, but honestly when you are being told you will be a 1st round draft pick like some of these 5 star guys are they don't think they will get beat out.
Yeah, but part of the process is to decipher through the BS and look at the situation as a whole. Some of these kids and their parents have egos the size of our President and act accordingly. "Gee, Mr. President, your hair looks great worn like that" and instantly he agrees to some bad trade deal. Same with these kids, even though Tom Brady and Peyton Manning is already on the depth chart, the recruiter says "hey, you are better than them, come here you will beat them out." And then they sign with that team and 18 months later are in the transfer portal.

ND is signing a top 5 QB in this next class too.. nothing wrong with being a backup QB at ND, that's a pretty nice set up.. no pressure, free schooling and the perks that go along with it..

Did this really get said?

A star QB? Sure no sweat being a backup QB if you are a back up QB. But if you are a star QB and can get millions in the NFL immediately by showcasing that, then you should find a starting gig.

Parsons was visiting OSU when College Gameday came to town. A recruiting staffer at OSU apparently introduced him to Eddie George and Herbstreit, took some pictures with him, and I think it was spotted on the broadcast. That's a recruiting violation (related to publicizing unsigned recruits), and OSU basically had to stop contacting him or else it would be an ongoing violation - it basically tainted the whole recruitment. He was probably going to end up at OSU until that whole thing went down, but then OSU was basically forced to stop recruiting him.

This is correct
