lmao the ref put the ball down...picked his head up, saw the sticks....saw it was short then moved it a foot forward and signalled 1st down
I love how the ref starts out marking the ball a half yard short and by the time he tells the guy where to mark it he's a football length past the stick.
WOW... replay shows A the ball hit the ground and B he was 2 feet in front of the 39.

Not only did the ball not make the line, the spot had half the football across the line. Too funny.

I hate this defense with a passion. They are a disgrace to this football program. I mean I like them all as kids, I just hate watching them. I'd rather give them a TD every time and not have to suffer watching such pathetic displays of tackling, covering, and anything else related to playing defense. 200+ yards to a mediocre at best running back. Most embarrassing effort in Pitt football history.
My God NW should just say make it third and 8 and we'll start with that my God this defense is getting destroyed up front on third down. All the momentum back and give up another long drive. Looks like it will be another have to score every drive game and who has it last probably wins
To be kind, he never has. He's had some real nice plays throughout his career, but never an entire game where he played "good".
Yeah I do think we need to step back and give this RB some credit, but... they've fared way better against other good RB's all year. This is pretty bad.
I could be wrong but I think we are going to look back at Narduzzi's tenure with the program and wonder how this guy was a defensive guru!! He should be ashamed, him and his crappy defensive coordinator.
The worst part is if we have 1 minute drives the defense is right back out there but you gotta take the points
Northwestern has been perfectly content draining clock and converting a million third and fourth downs on offense

I think narduzzi will be more than fine when he gets half decent players. Conklin though, I have no idea. Personally, he's done nothing to make me think he should even have a coordinator job here. But also, narduzzi is in charge. I doubt Conklin gets much say, so maybe he does know some things he doesn't get to show.
