Pittsburgh is having a very good season - and is a very good team.

Ditto for Penn State.

The 2 schools played a very competitive and very good football game 2 months ago.

I don't understand the pissing match between fans of the 2 schools. On either side. IMO, "little Brother" is a stupid comment and a sign of an insecure Pittsburgh fan.

PITT won! Wake me up when Ped st beats a good team on the road!

Yes, we definitely punched them in the mouth.

They will be up for next years game, and Pitt will probably be their toughest game next year along with Michigan (if they play again, I dont know)

But..but..but they beat Butgers!

Wake me up when UPS beats a good team on the road!

also..12-0
Been hearing a lot of lip from some Nits about next year. Seems they are back out from under their rocks and full of themselves after lucking one out against the Buckeyes then running thru their JV schedule.

Guess what Nits, wbrpanther is feeling pretty good about next year's matchup too.

It must drive that dysfunctional fan bas crazy that they were beaten by PTT AGAIN!

I'm not interested in getting into the Big Brother/Little Brother bullshit right now. We have bigger fish to fry and so do they.

I will worry about that crap in the off-season or during the week we play them. For now, we need to worry about Syracuse. We are nowhere near good enough to take any of this stuff for granted.

Not an original thought, but.......the irony of this season is that UPS fans who are now bragging about how great their team is have no choice but to expound on how good that Pitt is. Otherwise, they'd be stuck in the position of trying to defend how their "great" team lost to such a bad team - in a game that was clearly not a fluke.

Ohio State will be the toughest. They return quite a few starters, unlike Michigan who loses something like 20 of 22. At Iowa is always a challenge as well. Home vs Nebraska too.

PSU returns almost everyone and it's home game. Mostly likely will be a cake walk for PSU. PSU is in top 10, show me some more tears.
PSU is in the national picture so your win is very deflated and nobody really cares.

As long as they return Franklin we will win again

Obviously he was using that because that is how many PSU fans define Pitt.

No it is a sign that because of a blocked punt UPS thinks they are now world beaters again. You have posters on this board THAT ARE UPS FANS that have no idea what PITT will be returning next year but yet you are going go undefeated a win a Nc next year. Well with the schedule you play in the b10 next year and playing Pitt you may have 4 or more loses. Things worked out for you this year because of the Osu game but you may not be as lucky next year. The arrogance of your fans is what we root against

Most likely be a cake walk? Good lord ups is in the national spotlight only because you got lucky and blocked a punt. Better take a look at what we return I don't think it's gonna be a cake walk and oh yeah I hope you don't get cake in your face. That's one thing UPS fans don't lack...arrogance! You guys may never lose another game ever by your account... cake walk...hope you don't slip and hurt your tushy. Now go back to your board and tell all the UPS fans how mean I was to you...what a goof!

Don't worry they will just hide for a few months if they lose to Pitt like they did this year. This year was supposed to be a cake walk for them too, that's what they all said when they came over here talking that shit. Then they lost and went into hiding until they got lucky one game

Every time a PSU fan posts over here they prove how much losing to us still burns them. They come over here trying to rub their season in our faces trying to make themselves feel better. But fact remains you still lost to Pitt and it eats you up.......Pitt just scored again

Losing to Pitt doesn't bother me one bit matter of fact, I enjoy some of the content over in this forum and enjoy the discussions about the Pitt program, it is filled with some fine players and a good head coach.

What does bother is the absolute un-objective conjecture and matter of fact comments from both sides regarding each other. I understand jeering your in state opponent but at least be objective about it.

When Henderson returns a kickoff do you all say to yourselves, what a lucky play? Most likely not, when Penn State blocked the punt of field goal did I say lucky play, absolutely not, that would be taking away from the individuals who made great individual plays.

Pitt was up huge Penn State made adjustments and had the game in their hands and a Pitt DB made a play in the end zone to seal the game, some will say Pitt let their foot of the pedal, but those who say that are just foolish, no way Narduzzi was letting off in that game especially with the week long discussion of the game.

Penn States schedule has favored them no doubt this season, Pitt has played a good schedule, be that it may one team is still in the race for a conference title the other is not, fair or unfair it's just how it is. I'm happy with Franklin and you all are happy with Narduzzi, next September will be alot of fun when the two meet at Beaver Stadium.

Good luck Saturday against the Cuse on senior day, my idioliogical rant has concluded

The "little brother" thing is something your fans use, that is what you call Pitt. So it is the PoSU fans who are insecure. Why do you think PoSU fans have to believe that everything Penn State HAS to be better than Pitt, players, team, attendance, school, conference, etc, etc.

Many times in these discussions I will concede that Pitt and Penn State are just about even. I will admit that the ACC and BIG are just about even, but they won't even accept that. They HAVE to be better or their little world has no meaning. THAT is insecure.

The reason for this is the absolute arrogance of a lot of your fan base. I don't particularly hate Penn State, it's team, or it's players. Its the arrogance and hypocrisy of your fans that make me dislike Penn State, especially after what happened up there. You would think something like that would humble someone, but it didn't. It made them even more arrogant and that is why most fans from other schools dislike you. I mean some of the things I have heard your fans say since that scandal broke out is just mind boggling.

I know it sounds crazy, but losing to Pitt was the best thing that could have happened to PSU. It was a wake up call that propelled them into a top 10 team.

It's also the result that is going to keep PSU out of the playoff.

I really hate this analogy but the rivalry stands at 50–43–4 Penn State. We have 8 wins to go before we can rightfully say we're the big brother. Penn St is 856-382-42 all time with a 28–16–2 bowl record vs us at 704–515–42 with a 13–19 bowl record.

We have the 9 NC but if you total claimed plus unclaimed (we all know how college football worked back then) we are at 17 vs Penn State at 16.

Our goal should be to improve year over year and take back Pennsylvania and not worry about the other guys.

Yeah, agree with those points, but I care about the present. As a Steelers fan I can constantly brag about their history, but we've been nothing but a disappointment the last few years. Does no good. What's ridiculous as we stand in the present is their constant arrogance as a fan base.

Speaking of the Steelers, after having James Conner on earlier, I saw on Twitter the Fan is having Franco on now

Pretty much agree with you there. Obviously Henderson returning a kick would not be lucky, that is why he is our kick returner... he does that, a lot. But I'm with you that PSU blocking a field goal for a TD wasn't a "lucky" play. I think people saying that are a little off about "lucky". They made the play happen, that wasn't luck. They did get lucky though that OSU even attempted that FG. Urban Meyer even said he should've never done that and just punted it.

So I would say PSU was incredibly lucky they tried a stupid FG attempt. The play itself though, calling that lucky is not really accurate. They took advantage of a really dumb decision by OSU.

or maybe the schedule was just easy. What was that big road win again you guys had? I forget

We blocked a punt for a td vs Iowa last year that almost helped us win. It's part of the game

Pitt gets bragging rights until Sept 8 2017. PSU fans (like myself) need to take our medicine.

Vegas line Prediction 9/9/17: PSU -13.5

Checking the PITT vs Ped St game a year out for odds, you sound like you are a betting chap. I will take the 13.5 points and you can pick the amount we bet! We will have to get each other's IP addresses and email so it is legit!

Also, I like all the UPS fans hanging on the PITT site in spite of your year!

Born/Raised in Pittsburgh - Work Downtown - Many Pitt alum friends - Followed the program since a kid. I have many more reasons to visit this site than to troll. I like the smack talk. Its fun to have two programs who have the right to pound their chests right now.
