Just got in from the Red Eye but although it was a disappointment few Teams can lose QB, RB, OT, and expect to win. I mentioned Northwestern coach Fitzgerald was a Great Coach that always has his team ready to Execute and they were just as good as predicted. Fitzgerald beat Franklin twice at Vanderbilt and twice at Penn State. The future is bright, this is a different Pitt in spite the lost, just look how Coach Pat Narduzzi is just ready for more Recruiting, Finding another Great OC, and looking Forward to next year. After watching Miami tear apart WVU all game long after the 1st Quarter, once again, Pitt avoided such blow outs all year long in every game, that shows consistent coaching even with a porous Defense full of substitutions still learning the game. WVU Fans thinking they are better are delusional. Funny, but look at Pitt Losses by 7 points or less:
Example One: OKSU won big and in their Bowl WVU was beaten by them badly, Pitt lost by one play and away.
Example Two: VT came back on SEC Arkansas and Pitt played them tough all game long losing by 3.
Example Three: WVU was not competitive with Miami beaten by Half-Time and Pitt played Miami far tougher with Turnovers well earned by Miami but in the third Quarter, and Miami is all back next year, so be it, Pitt needs to beat the Best to be the Best.
Example Four: Northwestern was tough as always and no shame in losing to them at all. Pat Fitzgerald took Ranked Teams to their limits.
We will see how Clemson, FSU, UNC do along with Penn State and the rest of the Conferences. But WVU was not much better than Pitt and has a bigger rebuilding job in the Big-12 in 2017.
Pitt will be taking on PSU, OKSU, MIAMI, UNC, & VT again, with GT, DUKE, UVA, CUSE and NCS QBs back again. Another tough rebuilding year, embrace it and no need to fear it.
Pitt is continuing to rebuild the Program and will have more replacements ready next year. Pitt also had more consensus All Americans and will have Higher Draft Picks than PSU or WVU again. I'll wait until i see the USC-PSU Game fro a full analysis on the Lions?

..........Pat Narduzzi was asked if he believes he will need another recruiting cycle to fix his overly generous defense. “I think so,” he said, honestly...........“We lose a great pass rusher in (Ejuan) Price (13 sacks, the most by a Pitt player in 29 years),” he said. “You have to gain others. “That's why we recruit. That's why we coach, to continue to develop our players. That's what this offseason will be used for.”..............Playing without injured strong safety Jordan Whitehead (arm) for the third consecutive game and losing free safety Terrish Webb early, Pitt didn't have enough depth to fill the voids........Narduzzi was quick to point to freshman defensive backs who were either redshirted or used sparingly this season, but could be key contributors in 2017. “Damar Hamlin, (Therran) Coleman. (Jay) Stocker is going to continue to get better,” he said. “Bricen Garner is a good football player already. Henry Miller, across the board.” He also threw out the names of three other freshmen: linebacker Chase Pine, defensive tackle Keyshon Camp and wide receiver Ruben Flowers. Then, he added, “Wait until you get a glimpse of (quarterback) Thomas MacVittie.”
