Pitt will host its first ACC title event on March 8, when the Panthers welcome the ACC Wrestling Championship.

No surprise it's arriving in Pittsburgh for year 2- they know what wrestling means in that region. This could be well attended and, realistically, still be only the third highest attended wrestling event at the Field House next year.

Having attended the last conference tournament in Blacksburg, they did a commendable job, but it certainly had nothing on the immediacy of wrestling at the Field House. Hopefully they cater to that strength.

They must be expecting larger crowds because it has already been announced that it will take place at The Pete

That's a big deal for the wrestling program & probably warranted with all the talent that will be there (Gwiazdowski, Carter, etc.). Fascinated to see how filled they can get it.

I know I plan to attend, and I've only ever been to one wrestling match. Have talked to a few people who don't go usually, but hope to make it.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised if 2,000 people show up, nor would I be surprised if 10,000 people show up.
